Dedicated drops from day one at 10%-15% rates and those dedicated sources have no more then 3 items. Certain items are locked to higher difficulty levels and the higher difficulty drops are amazing.

What I'd like in borderlands 4 is for there to be a very rare rarity that is essentially a purple but with the stats greatly improved so it's able to compete with most legendary/uniques that can drop from any source about twice as much as world drop legendaries I'd probably call this rarity masterworks.

For BL4 I would love a way to swap parts and accessories between weapons so that it's a bit easier to get weapon with exactly the parts you want. Maybe tie that to a shop held by a new or recurring character that would provide this service to you and make it cost some kind of currency.

Dedicated drops and respawning bosses. I love being able to farm a particular piece of gear,Especially if it's basically essential to a final build and getting it early on. Like a legendary class mod in Bl2 and Tps basically means you don't really have to worry about another class mod for basically the rest of that mode or playthrough because they're just that good but,you can't REALLY get any Dedicated farms but,the Mercenary shop train is a really good way of doing so in Normal mode in BL2 and the Grinder for TPS. BL3 did it well but, they took quite some time to do that.

They should really consider the boss respawners that were done in redux. Even if it was something that unlocks after beating the story, I like the convenience option of not having to reload a map. Definitely need to include minibosses and unique enemies in that too. That crab ship boss was too cool not to fight again.

Respawnable F***ing loot sources. Not just "oh you can relog" or "exit the map and re-enter" even. Make it so eridium can activate a machine to respawn the damn thing. Not only that, if the loot source is one that drops a lot of loot, make a lever that is noticeable but not next to respawn lever (maybe look a decent ways up but don't need to jump for) that quick clears the area of loot (maybe just "Auto put in lost loot machine?") so you can farm WAY easier and it be a legit thing instead of just "it's a video game, people can find a vanilla way or mod it in"

For me BL4 needs a good endgame. To touch upon what I think you said K6 about DLC having raid bosses in them. The more content they release, the more you can do after you initially beat the story to test your character. I enjoy going and farming to take on raid bosses, takedowns, trials, slaughter maps, etc. To me that’s the second part of the game. Story, level up, farming, endgame content. I’d also like to see a feature that makes normal bosses pretty tough individually if you want to get crazy with it. All and all what kept me on BL3 was the fact there’s a lot to do once you beat the story and max out your character. I love Wonderlands until I beat the story.

Number one for me is to have all bosses and mini bosses respawn. And if you can give each one an assigned drop as well, then that would be amazing. I would also think it would be sick if loot boosting items/effects also impact assigned drops rates. Kinda weird that you can super boost loot drop rates for random stuff and not the stuff that is supposed to drop.

Good loot distribution: I want to play the BL4 and do the base game with gear I naturally find on the ground. Then let me go to dedicated sources for my awesome gear. Then let me use my awesome gear I’ve acquired and go through a raid. The raid make it like a takedown style both Maliwan and Guardian. Both had fantastic mechanics. The raid should drop the best gear in the game.

Rhe grinder needs to return in bl4 but the make it to where the first weapon is the weapon manufacturer, second is is weapon type and last weapon rarity, if you add moons tones or iridium it buffs all stats. You also can not get legendaries unless you add 3 of the same legendaries and use either moon stones or iridium to make it a better legendary

bl4: if i could pick one thing thing for them to add would be the 3 skill trees but make some of the perks only available via 2 skill trees being used like its a t2 skill that needs 5 ranks in 2 trees before it can be picked. make it a combo action skill, melee, or even a reload override that has a fun decently powerful effect that scales with with the OP level system.\ no dupe cosmetics and dedicated drops would also be nice.

RESPAWNING BOSSES WITH DEDICATED DROPS

The one thing Borderlands 4 needs to do is to learn from their mistakes! Don't have rare spawns that drop good loot. Don't have bosses from side quests that never respawn so you have no reason to go back there. Have World bosses/raid bosses, like Terramorphous or Crawermax, but also have some take downs. Have actual story DLCs, and include a Raid Boss, Circle of Slaughter, and maybe even a Takedown in each one. Do not have crazy invincible phases in bosses to artificially extend the time of a boss fight. We don't like it, so don't do it! Story is subjective, a third of the community will like it, a third will hate it, and a third could care less about the story. You can have secret bosses, we will allow 1 per main story and 1 each DLC, but they can not be super rare spawns. Light 6 hidden torches, push the seven secret buttons, something like that that can spawn a raid boss is fine. But make the fight fun, it can't be boring! And it better drop legendaries, every time! And if you want people to play in True and Ultimate Vault hunter modes, how about each step up you eliminate a weapon rarity and add a weapon rarity? In True you no longer see white gear drop, but you have the chance to see Pearlescents drop. In Ultimate Vault Hunter you no longer see green drops, and have the rare chance to see a new level of weapon rarity drop. Make the 2 new weapon rarities super rare, to make the people who complained about how often Legendaries drop happy. And the new rarities can be new weapons entirely, or maybe some of them are Legendaries with multiple annointments. And speaking of annointments, you don't need 1000. Figure out which 10 or so people really used, and stick with them. As for cosmetic drops, I think once you get one as a drop, there should be something in the programming that goes , ok, got that item, it will never drop again. Seeing a legendary drop is exciting. To see it is an Echo skin is not. And finally make feel free to add a 4th and maybe even a 5th skill tree down the road via expansion. But also add new Vault Hunters as DLC first. Maybe even bring back surviving Vault Hunters after all the DLCs have been released, like a Blast from the Past DLC. I think about Borderlands too much...

In bl4 I would want more customizations variety for each vault hunters. Basically have more body types, allow use to choose what you want your legs / shoes to look like, same gose for arms chest just like the heads. Also have a randomized button to mix up the look. Basically it would be like wonderlands but more like the previous borderlands games, instead of charging your character face / sex design your changing what they're wearing to make it feel like your own personal character. Can even change what your melee weapon looks like but don't have to worry about stats unlike wonderlands.

I'd love a system where you can upgrade weapons, such as say you get a god roll weapon, but its a low level. You give a limit on how many times you can upgrade it to your level, say three times or so, that way its still balanced, and you still force the concept we've loved since day one, being a looter game! I started another playthrough and even with all the loot dice I still can't get a legendary to drop with any kind of consistency. I haven't even gone into Wargtooth Shallows yet and after farming Ribula for 38 attempts I finally got a Borea's Breathe and hit level 20 then turned my attention to Banshee and I just hit level 32 and only got 1 Wailing Banshee to drop and 1 Championship Ring to drop. Should I just move on and complete the story then farm? Cause this is getting tedious at this point. I don't expect BL3 drop rates but come on, this is ridiculous.

Pearls! They were such a staple in both BL1 and BL2, yet strangely missing from BL3. I think they should've replaced the mayhem-exclusive drops, and maybe had a lower droprate to make them feel special.

As for the _one_ thing I would want in BL4: A procedurally generated endgame activity with fully customizable challenge level, similar to the Eridian Trials and the Ava Murder Mysteries but with maps that are generated for each session. But isn't that what the Chaos Chamber is? Well, technically yes, but I want an activity that feels cohesive, with enemies and encounters that make sense. An example session: You drop in a jungle clearing on Eden 6, with the main objective to rescue a team of Jakobs Militia scouts. The first map is a swamp village full of Jabbers, who you have to fight to get to a tracking beacon. The beacon drops off the first boss of the session, who can also world-drop some of the special gear of the activity. Once you have cleared the village, you get to a transition zone where you may encounter pretty much any of the creatures native to Eden 6. The second map is a heavily dilapidated, abandoned Jakobs factory that has been taken over by CoV. After fighting through the factory, you need to start a generator in order to open the exit gate... while fighting off a few waves of CoV. Again, the boss(es) can world-drop some of the special loot. The last transition zone is an underground passage that starts off as a sewer (full of Ratch), but starts showing some Eridian formations. The final map is a partially collapsed Eridian ruin, where the surviving members of the scout team are held in stasis crystals. You need to use the boss mechanics of the last fight to break the crystals (which does _not_ include standing in a charging circle). All of these things, the maps, the transitions and the type of boss fight, are chosen procedurally with at least five different options for each. The final encounter is guaranteed to drop _something_ from the pool of items that belong to the activity, kind of like Watsisface in Arms Race.
