Earlier this month we took delivery of the manual version of this car. Bought this as the "second car" for the shops, going to work and school drop-off. The reviewer mentioned how fun this car is to drive and he is right on the money. It is both effortless and fun to punt around!

It suits me, not too expensive but classy, this shiny dark grey with red trim on the side of the vehicle and inside , alloy wheels , so smart its the one to buy in 2021 !!! Fabulous small car - I miss the small commercial hatches of the 80’s that were great fun to drive and economical albeit crash safety was a negative - this is a shrinking segment but a new car at this price makes sense over used for someone on a budget :)

Nice feedback yes the car industry works on varied platforms that penalises certain countries from certain specications, reason I questioned this is that this GT Line model is sold un Malaysia with all the bells & whistles less the winter features at under AUD 20 grand. Only reason is that in Malaysia there is a domestic car industry re: Proton and Perodua that have micro cars lines so Kia had to up their features to capture a bigger audience. In Korea this model badged as" Morning" has the complete package. In Australia the market size is comparatvely small so the need to fully spec the models is not a major concern, how sad. I love this car but because of the lack of original features, I am now looking at the RIo GT or Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo though costing more they have the comfort & safety features I am looking for.

In Nicaragua we have Picantos all over the place and the Micra as well except it is called Nissan March as in the rest of the world. Both decent little cars. The March (Micra) however, has a monster engine compared to those teeny 1.2 liters like the Hyundai i10 or Mitsubishi G4 or the Suzuki Celerio. So you have the best one of the peppy little bunch.
@stokes57403 жыл бұрын
I am very interested in buying one, the 1 litre version has more power but I am concerned it won't last as long. Would the 1.2 litre model last longer as the engine parts would be under less pressure as it would be working as hard?

To me this type of city vehicle makes far more sense than all the copycat S.U.V.'s with worse gas mileage & handling. Kia should consider making an electric version for the city as well as bringing back the Hot Hatches with 2 doors which would be more fitting to the GT model.

Why does it not have keyless entry push button start , air condition push button controls , blind spot monitoring and lane keep assist like what other countries are getting as standard features for the Picanto GT line model. Why does Australia get a limited feature model on a premium grade - are we being ripped off? Or is Kia Australia intentionally selling a downgraded Premium Grade?
