I drove a 2009 Kia Morning from Paju to Jeonju at least once a week from 2014-2017. It was a fun and zippy little car that was a dream to park. and had great cargo space too. It never broke down or gave me any trouble. I miss that car and the great memories that went with it. Thanks for posting.

I drive this Picanto since January 2018 - I had also the previous model and also the first Picanto. Here in Europe the car is sold with different engines - I've a 84 horsepower 4 cylinder engine with automatic transmission (the only engine wich was sold with automatic transmssion here in Europe). With the facelift the 4 speed Automatic was replaced in Europe by a 5 speed automated manual transmission - with low acceeration performance (but this gear box fits the new and harder European emission standards now). Now also the European sold 3 cylinder 67 hp is sold with the automated manual transmission. The 100 hp 3 cylinder turbo is still only availabe with manual transmssion. As all KIA cars it is a very very reliable car. Greetings From Berlin, Germany - I wait for the next generation of that marvelous city car and will buy it when it will be avaialbe!

Greetings from Indonesia! We get Picanto too here, ours can be bought only with the 1.2 engine, but it still can be paired with 4 speed Auto (5 speed manual as standard). And to me, Picanto is a nice looking car. If I may ask, does Picanto have enough legroom for rear passenger with 170-180cm height? Does your 1.2 4AT powerful and comfy enough for 500-1000km cruising (at 90-110km/h) on highway? And last question, how far can it go with one full tank on city driving and highway? I'm thinking about getting a Picanto or Rio 1.4i, as in these 2 or 3 years my family of 4 (me, my parents, my sister) will need a small car to get to small roads that our Toyota Innova can't drive to. But finding information about both of them are hard here, not many people buy them. Thank you in advance 🙏

@@Samaryas The 5 speed manual transmission is also the starndard gear for all 3 engine-versions here in Europe. The little car is quite comfortable, also for 4 well trained broad build guys. I never had a back seat passenger larger than 173 cm - how much legroom the back seat passengers will have depends from the front passenger and how much the front seat will slided back. The 4 speed automatic -combined with the 84 hsp engine - is a little rocket. I know what I am talking about, I live in Germany, the only nation with no speed limit on the highways (9100 km of our highwaysystem have NO speed limit). Only 30 % (3900 km) of our highways have a speed-limit (mostly 120 or 130 km/h) - on all other you can drive as fast as your car (or yourself) can do. I once tried to get all out of the Picanto, I stopped at 170 km/h (that was what the odo showed - real speed will be lower than that). I stopped and reduced speed because I feared to damage the gear or engine. So a comfortable ride with "only" 110 km/h will be no problem - also 130 km/h are quite good (but loud, depends from the pavement and tires). But I don't know anything about the road conditions in Indonesia. The range is not that much, there are only 35 liters gasoline in the tank - but with 110 km/h you should drive a distance of 500 km or more (less in the city, depends from the traffic).

@@joedi6339 wow, if it drives good at high speeds on Autobahn, then Kia Picanto is the perfect car for us, as my family do a lot of highway cruise. Our road conditions now are better than they were before, but still not as good as in Germany 😅. Thanks for your answer!

​@@SamaryasMany German roads are in horrible condition. Yesterday I did a drive from Berlin to Rostock, and back in the evening (ca. 260-270 km each way). Most of the highways had no speedlimit, and I choosed the "recommended" speed of 130 km/h (used the cruise control and let the car run) - it started to snow a little bit while we drove back home in the dark. The little car copes with all strange weather situations with all the on board systems and electronics and did a good job again. I love that car, it's much better than some more expensive German cars and has more luxury (heated steering wheel, heated front seats, automated climate controll etc.).

We have two Picato's one is 3 years old (3 spec, 26K miles) and the other 4 years old (2 spec, 22K miles). Both are automatic. Serviced by GWR, and so far not even a bulb has been changed.

When I was looking for cars for when I get my car liscence (I'm doing practices atm xd test in a couple months, give me luck) I saw the KIA picanto because I was looking for a car as tiny as possible but not as small as a smart. I love this car, it's so cute and has everything I was asking for. I'll get the automatic GT Line, but I'll need some help, I don't quite understand CV xD It's gonna be for going from work to my house, that's it, never for travel as we'll use my boyfriend's Peugeot 208 for that. So which one should I buy? 1.0 DPi 49kW (67CV) 5AMT or 1.2 DPi 62kW (84CV) 5AMT? It's gonna be basically half highway, half city for about 20-30 minutes, 1h a day total, 5-6 days a week. Which one would be better for me?

4.95Ltrs per 100km. That's pretty good. I came to see what the cars RPM are at when driving in 4th at 100km/h. It was hard to see but I think it looks around 2800-2900rpm?

Exactly what I came to see too lol. Yea seemed about 2800-3000 to me. Which is a standard 100kph rpm range for a non turbod engine.

The engine seems pretty weak. It would be a great car if they can offer a 1.0 turbo engine or a similar 4 cylinder engine, and better to corporate with a 6 speed gearbox.
