Kia Seltos 2024 Review: Price, Engine and Performance!

In Kia's selection of vehicles that provide comparable value, the 2024 Seltos stands out thanks to its fashionable appearance, roomy cabin, and engaging driving experience. The Seltos is positioned between the smaller Soul and the bigger Sportage, although it has greater cargo space than competitors like the Hyundai Kona and Nissan Kicks thanks to its somewhat larger-than-subcompact dimensions. The 2024 Seltos boasts a redesigned exterior that enhances its already stunning appearance, and an upgraded interior with improved infotainment system. Two four-cylinder options are offered, one of which is a powerful 195-hp turbocharged engine. All-wheel drive is standard on the majority of variants, and even the entry-level Seltos is one of our favorite compact SUVs because it offers exceptional value and practicality.
00:59 Cost and Selection of Purchase. The 2024 Kia Seltos ranges in price from $25,865 to $31,465 depending on the model and extras. The Seltos EX trim offers the best value. While the SX model has nearly all of the features found in the SX, the EX is also quite well-equipped and substantially less expensive. Faux-leather upholstery, heated front seats, a wireless smartphone charging pad, a 10-way power-adjustable driver's seat, and a new dual-screen infotainment system with in-dash navigation are all included. In the Seltos, Kia provides a choice of two four-cylinder engines: a 2.0-liter with 146 horsepower or a 1.6-liter with 195 horsepower that is turbocharged. When we tested the turbocharged 1.6-liter Seltos, we discovered that it had more than enough power. The turbocharged Seltos reached 60 mph at our test track in a mere 6.9 seconds. The turbo engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, whilst the standard engine is coupled to a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). With the exception of the S and EX models, all-wheel drive is standard. Compared to competitors like the Jeep Compass and Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, the Seltos is far more fun and composed to drive. Its ride is hard but generally smooth, and its handling is crisp for an SUV.

According to EPA predictions, the Seltos will provide rather efficient MPG numbers. Front-wheel drive vehicles equipped with the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine are predicted to get up to 34 mpg on the highway. An all-wheel-drive Seltos equipped with the turbocharged 1.6-liter engine achieved 32 mpg on our highway fuel-economy test route at 75 mph. Compared to the Hyundai Kona, the Seltos has much larger inside capacity for passengers and luggage. The brand's outstanding Telluride SUV looks well at home in the showroom next to the cabin, thanks to the polished materials utilized throughout. The pricier SX variant comes equipped with standard inside ambient lighting that can be programmed to pulse in time with the music, just like the system available in Kia's smaller Soul SUV. We tested the pre-facelift model by fitting eight carry-on luggage in the cargo hold and twenty with the back seats folding. The cargo space readily absorbed our suitcases, backpacks, and picture bag.
