As an ex owner of a 2019 Seltos (Diesel AT) which I owned for 3 years and 30k kms, I can very well relate to what Vivekji mentioned in the video. It was indeed a great package. Decent driving fun and handling, lovely engine and gb combo , it had most things going for it incl plethora of features which were a first in the segment, back then I had even driven it to Himalayas from Bangalore. One of the days I drove close to 900 kms, with absolutely no fatigue. The ride quality though firm was very much liveable. The higher GC is a boon too. Kia in it's later iterations softened it's suspension but I guess that gain got nullified with the 18" wheels. Couple of grouses were it's poor headlight efficacy on open highways and of course the poor crash safety rating, when they barely managed 3 stars in GNCAP. If not for these two gremlins, it would've been an almost a complete package. cheers.. manoj

Diesel AT was my pick of the range till the new turbo petrol arrived with so much performance. Still its efficiency makes for a better travel companion. Good to know you enjoyed your Seltos while you had it

I was never attracted by the way the pre-facelift Seltos looked, especially the "mathil" on the dashboard, but the facelift is like Kia people were in full flow during its designing inside out. This iteration makes us feel like owning one now. I would personally go for the diesel AT. Loved your apt "family crossover" terminology usage when everyone is kind of shouting out 'SUV...SUV...' Right thing for an enthusiast turned reviewer 😁 Nice and simple video 💙👍🏻😊

I am using new kia Seltos petrol htx ivt owner as a petrol car it gives a mileage of 10-15 in city and 14-19 in highways and very happy with all other features and performances of car with a 6 month use

Good review.. i took a Diesel AT in March 2024. Now 6500 kms.. was using Swift for past 12 years.. can't compare the handling in curves with swift though Good on highways, quite stiff for comfort in small uneven roads.. over all fells good.. BTW i am Joseph C Jos ( Octane girl dad , Trichur) cousin. You should do an interview sometime with my Dad and his twin brother.. George Antony and Joseph Antony who won the 1983 Popular rally..

Hi Vivek CWC, I want to upgrade the music system in my Wagon R 2016 model to a touch screen which can support 360 camera. What all things we need to consider while doing so, as one shop has two models - one with 1 GB of RAM 6K Rs, one with 2 GB of RAM 11K Rs, Is going for 6K effects the efficiency of 360 camera? So is it better to go with 11K model? And is there any model or shop that you can suggest in Thrissur if known.

Desi Indian companies' R&D cost is more. But Kia and other world brands build for the global market, so the R&D cost is less for them. But as you said, Indian makers need to rethink and want to go global. At least many Chinese cars are taking to the roads in global markets, especially at least Tata can try the Middle East.

What tax benefits are you talking about? Kia seltos and Hyundai creta are saving near to 40,000rs per car by reducing the usage of advanced ultra high strength steel in chassis. Just google "Kia seltos body structure tbhp" ...read the tbhp forum regarding this ...

This car got a lot of hate from the market once the safety ratings were released. If it had a good shell, this car would have been one of the best, maybe an all rounder. This might be one of the best looking cars , and even the interior quality was peak. I've been driving the Diesel MT for more than 3 years now, more than 50k kms done and it still feels fresh, the clutch is on the longer side though. And Kia removed the MT from diesel variants during launch of the FL 😂. But there was the 1.4 T-GDI MT for pre FL which was one of the best to drive around. Great video Vivek Ji, lots of relatable seltos elements any seltos owner could relate.

As per new KIA Seltos launch training brochure, the body has been reinforced... They modified these areas 1. Part addition in Dashboard Area 2. Side Structure Improvement 3. Front B/Beam Section Improvement 4. To strengthen occupant compartment 5. Application of Reinforcement on Both Sides (front apron & central floor) Also there are 15 standard safety features. I guess if they send this car for GNCAP, car will get at least 4 star rating or car could get 5 also (Guess its my dream though)

@Annie.0990 Taigun DSG gearbox is better & quicker than seltos. Taigun is more safe. Taigun got 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ safety in global ncap crash test. Seltos have got only three⭐️⭐️⭐️. Taigun also have cylinder cut off system, that will makes it little bit fuel efficient. Interior spaces of Taigun is higher than Seltos. I has driven both of these cars, personally I felt most stability, handling, comfort, safer & entertaining/fun in Taigun GT. Seltos is not bad but at that price I will prefer to buy a proper brand strong car like Volkswagen Taigun GT

I was waiting for your review on the turbo petrol variant. And finally took it on March when I got some good discount. Wonderful machine and enjoying the drive every bit. If you put it to sports mode it turns to a different league and exhaust note is very nice to hear especially the blipper part.

I wanted to upgrade my Nexon .. I'm confused about four cars .. Seltos is my first choice then Creta.. Main reasons are features, fit and finish and price.. but I'm worrying about the safety of these two cars even though they reinforced the body but they are somehow hesitant to send their cars for safety testing.. The other two options are Harrier and XUV700.. They are leaders in safety but have some limitations such as a poor record of service and niggles ... Harrier has serious fit and finish issues ..

Test Drive Honda Elevate. Its one of the good Compact SUVs with Sufficient Features with plenty of Space and SUV Characteristics. Long term Reliability of Honda is very good specially 1.5 Litre IV tech petrol Engine

Depends on the car and where you drive. If it’s a city car that’ll be driven primarily in the city, I would choose an automatic. Else a manual.

Kushaq is slightly better to drive, feels more solid and is safer. Seltos is more spacious, has the better backseat, more equipment and will be easier and cheaper to maintain
