Great video! I'm looking for reasons why a 2005 Sorento AC doesn't work. A relay was bad on the van (different make) so I'm hoping something simple like this for the suv. At first the text at the bottom was a bit annoying, I thought I was missing something about the subject. Then I stopped watching as I don't have the tools to test with, and just listened to learn enough to keep the Kia dealership from ripping me off and read the facts and jokes.

I have owned 3 Kia's all new and each Kia had air-conditioning stop. It blows the fan but the cold doesn't stay. They looked for a leak but never find one and the cost to repair is nearly all labour to take console out

That is exactly what's happening to mine the fan works fantastic and the heater works great and when I put it on the cold air the fan works but no cold air comes out and it is fully charged

I have owned a 2016 Kia Soul 2010 Sonata, and now a 2018 Sorento and all of the air conditioners are all lack luster in Las Vegas . The Sorento is the final straw I’m done with Kia.

I have a 2015 Kia Sorento Sx. And I have noticed some issues with the AC. Symptoms: the air mode will change on its own after driving for about 2 hrs while calling for cold air. It almost sounds like the dash defroster gets turned on. The dash still have some flow but very little and the air remains cold. If I turn the AC off for a little while and turn it back on it goes back to normal. I changed my cabin air filter when I first noticed the issue. Could this be a damper issue?

I have same issue with my sorento. It will change on its own from blowing cold AC to blowing very hot like heater. I also noticed by slightly pushing the heat/AC knob with cause it to change. Or even driving up a hill or a bump in the road. Kia seems to have a lot of issues with heat and ac as well as the radio and control functions on the steering wheel to change volume or stations on radio. Smh cars are not built to last like the old days.

Very good I'm going to get one of those tests lights when I get off work and check out my car on Saturday my AC is not working the fan comes on and it just blows warm air the heater works it blows warm air but when I put it on cold air it doesn't blow any cold air just regular air

What if I don't have one of those fancy schmancy probe doohickys, how do I check the compressor clutch?

Then you would have to jump the relay with a paper clip or use a wire from your battery to the compressor

Yesterday I had my ac compressor replaced well it worked fine all that day til evening. That it didn’t want to come on! I waiting and still nothing. Now this morning it’s working fine just have a lot of vibration?

I would recommend you take it back to whoever did the work and have them take a look at it there’s probably something going on sorry I wish I could be of some help

More than likely you would have a defective blower motor resistor, or the fuse. I would probably check the fuse first if you have not already it could also be the control unit not sending power to the blower motor resistor so do you want to check the power going to the blower motor resistor if there’s power going to the blower motor resistor than the blower motor resistor is bad if there’s not then more than likely the control unit is bad if you do not have a blown fuse. Make sure there’s power at the fuse block for the blower motor Resistor

And I’m assuming distracting and made you have to watch parts of it over again? Unfortunately I put them in there just for that reason. (Please Don’t get upset by me saying that) . This KZbin channel is not the same is other KZbin channels where people “want to watch something” On repair Channell you’re only watching the video because you need to repair something. And the only way to make a tiny fraction of money on KZbin is if people watch the videos so we do it for retention value I put a lot of time and effort into making these videos that don’t pay any more than 2/10 of a cent per view and you can do the math rather easily it takes five use to make one penny. I absolutely love sharing my gift. But regretfully I would also like to make some money. most people will watch a video for a minute or two and shut it off and unfortunately this actually makes me less money so to keep peoples attention I started putting in the facts and the jokes. Some people love it some people hate it All I can say is I always try to do the best I can and I’m not for everyone but I do appreciate the kind words. Hopefully you understand a little bit better and that makes you feel a little bit better.
