Kia Soul P0300 P0301 P0302

2015 Kia Soul with 200,000 miles check engine came out on 01/02/2020
after running the code 3 codes come back P0300 random misfire detected
P0301 cylinder 1 misfire detected and P0302 cylinder 2 misfire detected.
2 ignition coils were damage so I replaced all 4 from Autozone for $198 you can buy singles for $60

I have a 2016 Kia Soul +. I damage the recoil when i step on the gas and gave me the code for recoil # 2. I runs good no shake drove it out of town and back and i still have the check engine light. I got scared on stepping on the gas and pass over 80 or 85 when i need to pass a semi then back to 75 miles a hour. I disconnected the negative cable of the battery. BUt the check engine light is still on. Do you know what else it could be?

I have a 2015 kia soul base I’m at 80k miles I just changed air filter and poured a fuel injector cleaner into my tank I still have a lag when accelerating. Any thoughts?

So p0300 means its the ignition coil? And p0301 means spark plug or ignition coil? I got code p0300 p0301 for my kia soul 2014

I need to either buy 4 new fuel injectors or 4 new spark plugs and 4 ignition coils.. Car sometimes runs rough at idle. 2014 Kia Soul plus 2.0 L which should I Switch first?

I dont think you need fuel injecrors they should be good. I would 1st try spark plugs and coil if you change them yourself its Ike $250-260 or so for both

have you had any issues where you fixed everything and then 2 weeks later you get the same codes again only to find out theres a whole in your block that crushed the spark plug?

I changed all of this, including Low pressure fuel pump , high pressure fuel pump but still having a rough idle crappy acceleration out of no where. I do smell gas in the oil filler cap ? I've alr3ady changed all the plugs and coils Pcv valve ?

Wait did I see that correctly did you only hand tighten the spark plugs. Is that the right way to do it because I used a ratchet after I and tightened the plugs I turned it half way with the ratchet. Now I’m wondering if I tightened mine to much. I changed plugs at 35k miles.

I did use a wrench after. I do it by hand first because I don't want to damage the treads . The actual torque is 18lb-ft you can google the torque

I have taken my Kia Sorento 2016 to the dealership and they said I needing a new fuel line theh were goonna charge me $960 went an got a second opinion from a mechanic he said it was the timing belt took to a third mechanic he said coils honestly finding a good honest mechanic is hard!!! Don't know what to do my car has been since in my garage for 9months!!

These codes does not indicate a timing belt issue what the mechanic is saying is what it is

Pull back the grey clip and press the black tap and pull back. If the gap is not right autozone can sell you a small coin size gap tool its like 2 or 3 bucks.

Mr.CALIFOR 2A I gotta ask you a question when the light came on I plugged the reader into my computer and read the codes that you’re mentioning I replace the four spark plugs and I replaced ignition coils one and two do I have to reset or erase the engine light with my computerbecause the light is still on and it’s still the same codes I’m assuming you have to erase the engine light, right?

You can erase them if you want. Or you can disconnect the battery for 15 min. Or just drive it it will erase by itself

I have a 2015 1.6 Soul with 59k miles and l lose power on the road. I have to put it on "N" turn off the engine and have it run like 10 feet and start it up and put it on "D" and then it goes normal. Upon going up hills the speed have a huge drop. Can you say what it is? My high pressure fuel pump makes a rattling sound (prrrr prrr prrrr...)

I'm pretty sure you have the check engine light it might be transmission problem and I think your car is standard 🤔 if you have check engine scan it for codes 59k you should be cover under dealer warranty also maybe intake manifold leak hard to tell from here

Hi from Turkey. My car has same problem and same fail codes in odb device, but only when cold start doing this problem, and about 10 minutes after return to normally. If i change this parts will the problem go away?

Most likely yes it will what your car is telling you is that something is wrong and is asking you to please check and change the parts that are starting to fail. In a nice way if you wait at one point it will die completely so my suggestion replace the parts. Any car should run smoothly when all parts are working 100%

My inlaws had the code for cylinder 3 missfires, had shop replace all 4 coils a few months ago, worked till now when cylinder 3 missfires is on again.

@richiepecor130 I did a compression test and that's all good and replaced the spark plugs and the engine light hasn't come on since and it's running good now, hopefully that's it. The injectors was my next guess.

Did you drive it around like 30min or so maybe the code will go away if not take it to a shop where they can clear the code with scanner. If the code appears again then something else would be the issue. Did you check all the fuse?

How did you know it was the coil and not just the plugs?

Because I swap the coils with the other ones and the code changed to the one that I swap it for.

Great videos just subscribed! I have a 2015 2.0 soul and had my cat replaced at 62k miles. Now at 94k miles 1 year later had to replace it again due to limp mode. I just tested my oil consumption with a new oil change and its pretty much gone after 500 miles oil issue has been going on since 30k. I've been the only owner. Pcv replaced.. i keep racking my brain and youtube trying to figure it out. Any thoughts?

My 2015 soul cat 🐈 also died at 60, or so then at 116, and again at 200, my car car is now with 218,000 miles and mi engine gave up so its on the shop I will pick it up 2morrow with a new cat 🐈 . Not bad for a 2015 kia soul 1.6 automatic engive with 218, miles
