Kia Soul Turbo 2017 Preview

Now if they just added AWD it would blow away the Subaru Crosstrek. Both are good cars but I feel AWD is the last missing thing to really make the Soul an excellent choice.

Hello out there. Steve, I have a question. My next vehicle purchase will be a Kia Soul. I really love the Turbo. I sat in it at the L.A. auto show. Anyways, I do a lot of short distant driving every day. I turn off my car and a few minutes later I'm off again. I've never owed a turbo charged car before so I've been try to ready up on them as much as I can. Some of the things I've read has turned me off on getting the turbo. Should I be concerned? Are these modern day turbo engines up for the task? I've tried looking up the 1.6L turbo engine from the Hyundai Veloster and Kia Forte5 and really haven't found any useful information. Any advice from you (or anyone else out there) would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Steve, have you had a chance to listen to the 350W HK Audio pkg? What did you think? Does it sound good or is the Audio pkg's worth more in the additional features it brings to the interior than the sound it produces? Basically, to Audio pkg or not to Audio pkg? That is the question. I'm looking at the '17 Soul+ w/Designer pkg and wonder if I should skip that and do the Audio pkg instead. I guess I just need to hold out for the turbo w/o options, but i want to keep price down, but get more than the base model.
