I really love the exterior design of the Regal. The GS with that sweet V6 is highly underrated. Marketing failed that car. 🤷‍♂️

I was a huge fan of the Regal GS. I was excited that they put the V6 in it. And then they killed it off. What a shame. It used to win car of the year in Europe.

They need better tires and better sway bars off the lot, especially for the awd models. I would have been so happy if this had gotten a 6 speed but the 8 is a solid transmission. I shopped mine with an s5 and with a m440 gc, and with the features this car was 90% of those cars at 75% the cost. Plus it’s larger so getting the baby seat in it was much easier.

Great Video Que, I heard these Kia Stinger can move by a few people but not too many talk about these. I guess its the "See Ya In a Kia" thing which most car enthusiast think this is cheap. So far this is a good looking car.

Glad you got a chance to review! I have this exact same car, just in a different color. I absolutely love it. My biggest criticism is the exhaust is too quiet! Right now their aren't many aftermarket exhausts that take advantage of the valve function that was added to 2022+ Stingers. MBRP has one, and Borla should be releasing one in the next 2 to 3 months. I really like the car as a jack-of-all-trades vehicle. The liftback gives it enough storage to rival a small SUV. It has room in the back for adults, and plenty of tech/features. Its definitely a heavy car and you can feel the body roll. However one of the most popular handling upgrades are thicker sway bars and they supposedly make a huge improvement. That's on my list as well. Curious to hear your thoughts on comparing it to the TLX TYpe S you drove? I know the Type S is a better handling car for sure. Otherwise how do you feel about the interiors, power, or features, etc?

Those simple mods with work wonders on the Stinger. I like the space of the interior of the Stinger and the bolstering of the seats were excellent. I like how soft the TLX's seats were. The power felt extremely similar. I would need to hop in the TLX and drive them back to back. I feel the Stinger had better features too. I liked the cameras with the turn signals. The TLX was a little cramped in the inside but it sounded way better.

It's a very slept on car, I purchased one last month, it's the best of both worlds between practicality and performance. I've owned both an 18 Mustang GT Premium and an 19 IS 350 F Sport. The stinger is by far the best vehicle I've had.

In terms of comfy suspension for long trips, road noise, which of these three cars is best? From best to worst

@@Mr505505 Most comfortable suspension has to be the Lexus, followed by the stinger and then Mustang. Lexus IS was a solid car cant complain much there, definitely more compact. Good for long trips if you have 2 adults and people under 6ft in the back. It was well insulated so didn’t hear much road noise to be honest. Technology inside was lacking. Premium Sound system was subpar (No CarPlay or android auto in my 2019?) Stinger is more performance oriented, it’s a gas hog I’m averaging 15mpg city driving and about 23 mixed highway. Can fit 4 full grown adults comfortably, Suspension is jittery not sure how else to describe it. Road Noise minimal as well, well insulated as well. Has the best sound system and technology out of the three. Mustang was definitely the most fun due to raw performance, I had the leather Recaros seats in mine so it wasn’t the most comfortable. Nothing else to say to be honest I had my fun with the Mustang, it was great the 3 years I owned it. Has the second best sound system the shaker sound was nice. Had basic tech, CarPlay was decent.

I’ve had a 2018 GT1 AWD for nearly 2 years. Had a Fiesta ST prior, needed something bigger/family oriented, AWD (northern climate), still fun to drive, and something that’s a looker while a bit different from the typical choices (Audi, BMW, etc.). Re: Handling, definitely a big girl. I run Michelin PS4S in the summer, that squealing goes away. If you drive spiritedly they’re a must - brakes are as well, stock pads vibrate wayyy too much once they get hot. While she definitely rolls more than a sports car, lateral grip is quite good for 4000lbs. It’s got a bit more of a laid back personality than modern BMWs which I like. Those are WAY too stiff and artificial feeling, Stinger isnt so feelsome like a Lotus but feels natural overall to drive in a Grand Touring way. You aren’t buying a car like this to take to the track, realistically as a daily you’ll be around town, in the morning commute, and on interstate 90+ % of the time. It excells at that, and won’t fall apart on the backroads either (loves the big sweepers). I drove it cross country and back across the northern US in winter. On snows, its terrific in the snow and everything you want, CUVs aint much better. It is a great size, swallows up way more gear than a typical sedan. For ~$40K as a daily, I’d recommend 100%.

@@QueTheChaotic Long trips, 25-30 is doable. Seattle to Portland I’m usually at ~26. Around town 20 is impossible ;). Not great but may be a slight step up over Chevy SS or Lexus ISF. You should see if your wife will tune it too. Thats my plan after warranty lapses a bit more, ~420WHP is very doable, these engines are understressed.

The Stinger is fantastic. I think that Hyundai/ Kia missed an opportunity by not adding a Turbo to their V8 in the Genesis, making it a true BMW killer halo car and thereby positioning the Stinger as the heir apparent to the Throne

Personally not a fan of Hyundai/KIA/Genesis as their engineers have historically seem to have major ***-envy for Audi. Lol. A few years ago I considered an Optima but after a weekend rental it felt like the engine was going to fall out...

I considered one of these 3 years back but the dealer experience sucked and for $53k I wasn't too impressed with the interior quality as many of the buttons were from lower end hyundai/kia models. The car is definitely quick and does everything but it only does everything decently well. Like you said it's got some body roll as it doesn't hide it's weight all too well. I checked out a bmw m340i and audi s5 sportback and much preferred those cars in every way.

@@KobeMpthers i don't know about mileage on the 2.5, i have the 3.3tt stinger and it lasts me like 500km with city driving, if i had the option to choose from g70 2.5 and stinger 2.5 i would take the g70 atleast ill be getting luxury kinda sporty car, i feel like if i had the 2.5 stinger i'd regret not getting the 3.3tt because its more sporty than luxury

The Stinger's V6 is not prone to fire. However some other Kia/Hyundai engines are.

The Kia name killed this car. At the end of the day it's still a Kia and people remember what Kia used to be so they are not willing to pay that much money for a Kia. Genesis is a better move. Giving the more premium cars a completely different name brand works better
