Have you tried plucking the part of the topper? That will help make it look more natural, the fake look you are talking about is in part because of the high density of the hair in the part. You can pluck the hairs that are tied into the lace, it almost looks like they did not give the topper a part

I think blonde hair thinning is a little “bearable” than brunette/black hair thinning, because the latter is much more obvious. Mine is pretty much like yours, but just more noticeable since I have black hair☹️

It's probably not gonna help because my thinning is mostly on the crown. One sweep to either side will just reveal my scalp. Plus, I've already sworn off salons because some are really insensitive when it comes to thinning hair, as if there's a need to state the obvious again :(

DaWahine79 I totally agree. If you have light/blonde hair the wispiness isn’t so obvious and sometimes can even look a little cute as it does on Kia. If you have dark hair however it just looks straggly and awful! 😕

Dark hair can be difficult when it thins and grays. Trying to keep it dark with my fair skin and blue eyes is very aging ,for me. I’ve gone gray and wear blonde and red wigs. Now I am looking for a gray topper. The industry is slow to give us that option. There are a lot of women now who want to keep their longer gray hair and are looking for toppers. I’ve seen a video of Monique Parent in a customized gray Hope topper. It was beautiful.

What a beautiful young woman you are! I just discovered your channel after looking for videos of the Hope topper in a light color. It looks nice on you. I think you might try pulling the hair from your hairline out with a fine tooth comb, and comb or brush your hair over the topper. This gives me the most natural and believable look with toppers and wigs. I’m much older than you, and I am wanting to find the Hope wavy topper in a gray color. There is a product called It Stays. It is a water based adhesive that holds the front lace tight to your scalp. It comes right off with water so you are not damaging your own hair. I have found that when the lace front in my wig lifts up even a tiny bit that I notice it. This adhesive also can take the tention off the clips. You have the exact right life philosophy. Oh Kia, thank you so much for sharing! I can really feel you... the feeling when you are loosing your hair and you try everything and nothing helps. Can be very frustrating! Especially when you have naturally thin hair! So, you’re not alone with that feeling!!! You are very tough that you show that personal part of your life, I would never be confident enough to do that! You are a real power woman and I admire that! :) To the hair loss problem... I have no experience with that “cure” but I have seen a KZbin video of a woman who suffered hair loss as well. Her recommendation was aloe vera from Spain, I think it’s on amazon, it should be rubbed in your hair daily. But important is, it needs to be the one of Spain, not your own Aloe Vera at home because the nutritions of the plant are so different (because of the ground they are growing etc). May give it a try if you hadn’t yet? One thing I have recognized is that African women often have some extensions (e.g. for braids) and its neither their natural hair- but no one cares about it! But as a European it’s not “common” to wear wigs or extensions! Strange isn’t it! I wish it could be normal some day, for everybody! I mean you are creating illusions with make up or glue fake lashes on, why not hair? Long story short... thank you so much and I will think about you and hope your hair is going to be better, I am sure there is a solution and it’s probably not your whole life, I guess it’s a phase which will be over some day! Tons of good vibes!

Our thinning is the same. I do know I have a hereditary thing going on, as my mother & grandmothers wore wigs. None of them really looked into it, so I have been exploring what might it be. I did find out I’m low thyroid, but I don’t think that’s all if it. At 47, what I’ve learned...toppers are life savers ‘ I don’t have to worry & cry about my hair every morning, trying to get ready. I am less than a year into toppers/wigs & wow...not my mom’s or gma’s wigs. They are worth it to feel better...to feel ‘normal’ again!!!! You’re beautiful, thank you🤗.

I have always had fine, straight hair, but I had thick hair. Now it's very thin due to medication (beta blockers), as well as Celiac's disease which causes a vitamin D deficiency. It's so frustrating. I would love to hear some pointers and words of encouragement. I love your videos.

Why don't you plait or twist the front bits and use Kirby clips to pin back so it looks like its yours. Or take it to the salon and see if a hair dresser can trim it a bit so it looks less full and more shaped to your face shape and sits better so you feel its easier to apply.

Have you had your thyroid checked? Having hypothyroidism is the number one reason for hair loss. The good news is, it will all grow back once you are on the right medication amounts. Please make sure you get it checked. It’s very serious if not treated.

You seem to have quite a lot of hair, it's just not very thick at the ends. You can't see your scalp, your parting is not balding. Mostly toppers are used for women with thinning on top, your parting is beautiful, your hair looks really healthy on top. You do not need a topper ! In the long run they ruin your hair.
