Kianoush Rostami (170kg Snatch + 200kg C&J + 255kg BS) - 2018 Asian Games [4k 50]

Kianoush Rostami, 94kg weightlifter and 2016 Olympic Champion for Iran, training 3, 4 and 6 days out of the 2018 Asian Games. Some notes:
-In the first workout he does up to 120kg snatch pull + power snatch (1:20), up to 185kg clean pull + pow clean and jerk (2:14), and up to 245kg back squat (4:31).
-In the second workout he does up to 175kg front squat and split jerk (5:30), up to a 220kg front squat and jerk attempt (6:10), and up to a 140kg power snatch (7:21).
-In the third workout he does up to a 170kg snatch (8:41), up to a 170kg clean and jerk (11:31), and up to a 255kg back squat (13:22).
-He went on to do 175kg snatch in the event. He dropped the 200kg attempt at 12:03 because his pants ripped and he was worried about being on video with torn pants.

in the sport of weightlifting injuries dont really go away they just subside to the point where you can go back to doing the movement. But you'll always be conscious of it, especially when it has something to do woth cartilage

There are countless athletes that performed a few years too much past their prime. At the end, it didn't hurt their legacies. I believe it will be no different here. Now, whether he sincerely thinks he can beat the odds or that he just would't do anything else, what ever motivates him, plain delusion maybe, it is all irrelevant to me : he earned that shot.
