Means a person is informing their friends that they are currently not in their best condition to hold a high spirited conversation/engage in an activity at the moment. Irl if you have friends and they use this on you, it doesn't mean they're taking out their anger on you, it means they want you to understand that they can't give you the usual responses they would've given normally, and for you to not probe them too much to the point where their anger actually DOES seep out and lay it on you.
