It's probably the material of the costumes. It's a common occurrence in a variety of entertainment industries. If they cheap out or have fabrics made of certain materials that aren't meant for long term use over long periods of time they end up absorbing the smells of the body such as spandex which is a common issue with material. It happened on the set of Star Trek, The Next Generation after a couple seasons. All of the crew reeked through too many episodes and the costumes had to be replaced. It's one of the reasons they had different uniforms for the movies and the later seasons of the television program.

oh interesting, i didn't realize smell was a factor for the TNG costume change! i thought a lot of it was the back pain the tight spandex was causing members.

@@iluvsakuraandsyaoran Oh, the tight fit was also extremely uncomfortable as well. I recall some of the DVD extras had stories about how ill fitting and painful and awful the uniforms slowly became. It's what led to the classic outfit straightening mannerism Patrick Stewart would do in a lot of his scenes just to stay comfortable from take to take especially when he had to sit up and stand over and over again.

@@MarcelHard There are a lot wrong with Germans. I had a co-worker once, who was as you may guess German. I was pretty new at that place and I was assigned to work with him, and I talked to him about how it was weird that noone said good morning at this place, I said good morning every day but I hardly ever got a reply back, and I lamented about this to him as it really brought down my energy and I didn't want this to be his impression of my countrymen. And the first thing this smiling f0cker did when we got back, was to relay pretty much everything I had said to him in private to everyone else, right in front of me as well. He didn't seem like he was particularly touched in the head, so I can only imagine they're just like that. Every other German I've met has been rude and uppity. Central Europe is pretty much a lost cause.

Never wear a new clothes without washing! They pass days on different places. Many people work at home, to make clothes. They sew part of it, throw it on the floor, and put them in huge plastic bags...it after send in an other house etc... up to the finish product. I'm from Canada, and my mother was a seamstress... I was playing in those clothes...I can't remember how many times my mother found me asleep, in huge piles of clothes! She was mad at me but...kids still kids! We were a clean family...but...can't say much for others worker's house... I've seen some incredible things... Never say...your hoodie saw so many floors, hands, bags etc... -__- Even dogs, cats etc... A piece of clothes see a minumum of 50 persons, before going in the market... And the stuff to protect/desinfect them..is put before the seamstress works on it! I'm so use to this smell, i sleep in it! It even stronger than you could imagine. Almost vinaigery...

Same thing happened to me. Got a new hoodie took tag off and went out, I thought it smelled weird but I thought maybe it’s just my mind. But when I came back home certainly the hoodie smells when I took it off.. I don’t stink.. I barely did anything when I went out.. 🤷‍♂️ Maybe someone else wore it when I bought it? Neh I don’t know
