really wish i could begin to express how powerful and moving this music is, but i think it's safe to say that anyone listening to this knows what im talking about when i say that this music evokes a feeling that makes every worry and anxiety go away. its my therapy, a soothing of the forgotten and tattered soul. so appreciative for the light that this is shining into my heart right now.

Yeah I always notice that as well, it has this healing calming effect on me, kind of like for example David Attenborough's from the nature Docs has this special effect making it go beyond just sounding like the average ordinary voice.. That's the word I was trying to pick to describe what I'm trying to tell in the best way I can, extraordinary voices!

Oh wow I didn't even know they had an E.P out. I'm off to buy that right now. Did Somebody else mention Jon Hopkins? He's very good too, and IMHO recommended listening if you're a Kiasmos fan.

+Thomes Maisling (Thomaise) Actually I like Jon Hopkins more than Kiasmos or Ólafur Arnalds, as much as I enjoy all of them.

I agree. Kiasmos is awesome, but Jon Hopkins to my mind just seems a little more clever with his sounds and textures or something like that. Olafur Arnolds (solo) at his best has done very beautiful music, but at his worst he can sound a little (dare I say it) depressing. Nils Frahm is also worth a mention as his style is in the same ballpark as Olafur's. Personally I hear a bit more of that magical creative spark in Nils' work than Olafur's. Check out Nils Frahm's Spaces album if you haven't yet. "Toilet Brushes" is IMO the standout tune from it.

+Thomes Maisling (Thomaise) I am already sort of a Nils Frahm fan, and I also rate his music a bit higher than Ólafur's, although I enjoy his "depressing" side Just a few days ago I listened to one of Nils' side projects, Nonkeen, a group that was started in his teenage days. Very interesting.

I think 'Gleypa Okkur' or some other songs from his early albums may fall into category of sounding depressing, but they are so beautiful imo. Probably it's a matter of a personal taste, as I find Hopkins sound a lil flat, too polished. Nils, on the other hand, is amazing. That one guy who never sounds boring, loves piano probably more than his life and is extra creative.

listening to this after all sorts of stuff from AFX to mainstream bonobo works and I am thinking whether kiasmos brings anything new to the table or they rather some kind of pleasant fusion of safe sounds without really deeper exploration of emotions
