Fun fact: in the original source version of the game, the games in that ending were different! The first game was *minecraft*, and the second was portal! For the ultra deluxe version, they asked the developers of firewatch and rocket league to lend them their assets (which they apparently did gladly!)
@shibainu2528Ай бұрын
In the Half Life 2 mod version of Stanley Parable, you get sent to the train station from Half Life 2, just ending right after you jump out of the window where Barney would have met you. This ending also housed the "Stanley was fat an ugly and really really stupid" line, before the broom closet got added. If you walked down this crack in the wall, you would end up back in the office, just without the narrator or certain gameplay aspects like doors closing or the boss's keypad. In the full Stanley Parable, you get sent to Minecraft where the narrator builds a dirt hut, then tells you to go on an adventure to make it out of diamond. But, you quickly get lost in a cave without torches, and the narrator doesn't like this adventure very much. You get sent to Portal, where the narrator opens the glass panel to let you out, you solve the first "puzzle" but then the narrator calls the elevator up. Jump down the elevator shaft, and you end up back in a rundown version of The Stanley Mod. I shouldn't have to explain Ultra Deluxe, it's in the video.

However, I'm now having serious doubts that he actually does avoid spoilers like he says. Not because it seems like he's played the games before. The fact that the playthroughs are blind is extremely obvious. But the fact that it remains blind even hours into the playthrough makes me wonder if all of Oliver's playthroughs are blind because he simply can't remember anything he's seen of heard or done previously.

So, the Memory Zone stuff you wouldn't recognize: - The Stanley Parable began as a half-life 2 mod where it only used assets from that game. The 2013 release was itself a "remake". You've seen the original Source version before. - When the game was on the Source Engine (which the 2013 version still was), you'd be taken to the Serious Room if you tried enabling sv_cheats in the command console. - The game's original demo was a totally different set of content specifically set up as a demo. We got wonderful content out of it, like... 8! (The game Supraland one-ups it with 9...) - There were some very odd, cheeky trailers just as meta as anything in the game itself

This is a serious manner, if only Stanley could activate sv_cheats, we can discuss how serious this is in the serious room. (I doubt this really counts as a spoiler to be honest, because like I said, you can't get into the room anymore without the console. So it's more of a fun fact of what has once existed.)
