finally got around to doing this to my truck. do you need to cut the excess wires that you have coming out of the head unit’s wiring harness?

so i bought a wiring harness that plugged right in, all i had to do was connect the wires to the harness that went into the stock wiring so I really didn't do a whole lot of wiring myself :/ i have the wiring harness for my style radio or you can go on ebay and find more harnesses for the 6 wire style, i think some were 6 and 16 maybe?

Were you able to get it to turn on with ignition or do you manually have to press it on. I wired mine up twice without being able to trigger on with ignition. I’m thinking it’s a coding issue in the radio.

no, that is just how that radio is. all my european radios do the same. they only turn on when you turn it on and that is a euro style radio :) i just assumed it would turn on but it is not suppose to lol

HI the sambar has different mounting braket. WIll it fix as well?

i think so. i can't remember what the side of it looked like but if it has the screw holes, the sambar radio brackets should work.
