Sure hope Chase's burn was only first degree!!! He was FLYING!!!! I once had a loose wire that was bouncing around and it would touch the battery cables then "short circuit" my battery. We didn't find that little gremlin until eight races later but every race I'd go out with "engine troubles."

I know exactly how his hand feels. That pain is excruciating. I did the same thing with an exhaust pipe. I remember holding ice packs in my hand after burning it, and the heat from my hand would actually melt the ice packs. I don’t know if I would’ve been able to drive that race like he did with a burnt hand.
