The Renaissance Era should be the official name of this era of WWE. 2022 & 2023 has been their best years in a while. The amount of talent they have, the great PPVs, and the storylines are entertaining. What a time to be alive indeed.

The Renaissance Era is a great name for this current time period of wrestling. Every sense Triple H took over back in July 2022 the product has been some of the best TV in a very long time. From the feuds and rivalries, matches and the storytelling it has been must watch. Also the building of new stars like : LA Knight and Jey Uso and Dominick Mysterio. Plus big returns like : CM Punk, Randy Orton, Kairi Sane and The Rock

I go all the way back to the new generation era. The era right after Hogan which I think they call that the golden era. I watched from January 1994 all the way through April 2014 and I stopped watching all the time when Undertaker lost the streak. He was and still is my all-time favorite and when he lost that streak that was the end of my childhood. I still kept up with it but I didn't watch it like I used to. I'm back to DVRing it again but I'm still not watching it live we'll see how good it gets though. Also I take exception with the guy in the video saying the attitude era was from 1997 to 2002. Any truth and knows that WrestleMania's are the starts and the bookends for WWE eras and the attitude era lasted from WrestleMania 14 1998 through WrestleMania 17 2001. Once Stone Cold Steve Austin shook Vince McMahon's hand that was the end of the Attitude Era and the feud that had defined it.

I’ve just been calling it the HHH era tbh lol but I could see Renaissance era is definitely a viable term, the Main event level is phenomenal rn plus the main stream names they could have for wrestlemania with The Rock, John Cena, Logan Paul and Bad Bunny even Batista for the Hall of fame this year so it is very much like the 2002-2005 RA era again with past and future collide, hopefully the future does better overall this time around than the RA one

The comments about the change in NXT's approach are an interesting one to me. With the benefit of hindsight, NXT Black and Gold feels very much like Triple H proving that he is the man most fit to run the on-screen product. B&G was his coming out as the best showrunner available in the company, considering how positively (and consistently good) his NXT shows - both weekly and PPV/PLE/Network special - were spoken of both in general and compared to the main roster. The argument, like in the video, can be made that it wasn't as conducive to development as a farm system but even that I think is wrong. Not just a difference in styles/approach between Hunter and Vince which led to stuff like Karrion Kross or Keith Lee or "The Viking Experience" that looks more and more like a Vince problem than a B&G problem, but I mean...look at the Four Horsewomen. B&G was not just about big indy singings; it still had its homegrown names, and Bayley, Sasha, Charlotte, and Becky (and even Paige before them) came into their own under Hunter's watch, including main eventing and tearing down the house with Match of the Year candidates. The cornerstones of modern women's wrestling in WWE, the Women's Revolution, *main eventing Wrestle freakin' Mania* , wouldn't exist without NXT B&G. Triple H got to helm his own brand and showed that, with time and talented hands, he could put on engaging stories with longer term payoffs, have some of the best in the world with some up and coming talent be iron sharpening iron, and blow the roof off of places with some of the highest quality and entertaining matches with actual characters. And not just be a flash in the pan but have actual consistency in quality and logic in booking. And 'lo and behold, as soon as he gets the book for both main roster shows, what do we get? Basically the same thing just as in NXT Black and Gold, just in a different time slot. And this time with a NXT run by Shawn, who is literally running it like how Hunter (and Dusty) ran NXT of old, meaning the transition between the two is now seamless and sweet like peanut butter and chocolate. As opposed to Vince as showrunner with NXT B&G being like trying to toss water into oil and hoping it at least mingles for a bit.

The last PPV with Vince Mcmahon and the return of Cody Rhodes, i think Vince knew his time is coming to an end and who is better for end and era, than Stone Cold Steve Austin, return for one last can of Whopp Ass. In fact, WWE itself considers that WrestleMania 38 was the beginning of a new era, according to its website, for now called POST-PANDEMIC ERA. VINCE LAID THE FOUNDATION, TRIPLE H SHAPED THEM. Also give credit to Vince Mcmahon for preparing Triple H so well, more so than his own son, for 20 years.

Great video, but when dudes saying Bron didn’t know much about wrestling obviously doesn’t know he’s from the Steiner lineage lol

We been saying it for how long, yes props for his earlier building of his company. But surprise SURPRISE WWE is doing better and pumping out better stuff without that old fools out of touch bs infecting creative and burying potential new stars. Cough cough, his initial call up of Karion Kross. The shackles were freed once Vince properly got removed from power by the new owners.
