Darby Allin can never be taken seriously again and it would be very difficult for me to take Danielson seriously after this match. It would be one thing if it played out in a heelish way where The Young Bucks beat Danielson down and then they placed Perry over him to get some form of heat (no pun intended) on the group, but no. Perry was attacked with a flamethrower and was still able to function normally enough to the point where he was able to hit a finisher to win. I used to love hardcore wrestling, I still do depending on who's involved, but this was laughably bad, which is unfortunately normal for AEW.

Oh I just realized that Anarchy in the Arena match took place a few days before or after Owen Hart's death anniversary and it does not help that Martha Hart was there. Yes is the breaking point. Because an undead mortician and his deranged brother, a guy wearing a leather mask pulling out his own hair, grown men telling people "suck it" a man calling himself the Fiend, dudes running around in tactical gear, a group tossing pancakes to the crowd, a man using a snake as a weapon, or a big buff guy in yellow underwear with unlimited stamina doesn't make wrestling silly.

My wife doesn't watch wrestling, but she'll sit and watch what I'm watching every now and then. And when Okada debuted, she said The Bucks have sucked so bad since Cody left they had to replace him 😭😭😭 It's so funny because she doesn't like wrestling yet she knows what's going on from watching here and there. She knew that Cody left and went to WWE, I explained the Bucks situation where they're basically being heel GM's and she always says the Bucks are such a shitty pair. Character wise and as wrestlers. She said that she would rather watch WWE because it's actually more believable than AEW. And I can't blame her. It's hard to watch The Young Bucks and take them seriously, I don't even hate them but it's just they're so bad at character work. She explained it like this, the gist of the story they want to tell is good. The guys who started the company are letting the power get to their head and the boss is getting his own guys ready to face them. Which is already stupid because Tony Khan owns the company and fuck the contracts, EVPs can't physically assault their talents and do what they want so it's already bad. That is exactly why AEWs ratings are slowly going down. It doesn't matter how much fun the wrestlers have if they're wrestling for the sake of wrestling and can't get the fans into it. Live crowds love it because when you're watching the circus live, you get excited. But watching at home, you like watching the car wreck, but after it's all said and done, what was the point? It's just not good.

8:38 and there's the problem with this whole god damned angle. Unlike when WWE did it or the nWo, both of those things had the boss, whether it was Vince McMahon or Eric Bischoff as in league with it, so it was at least plausible. Tony being jerked around by EVPs, who allegedly "can't be fired", is just flat out stupid. Like, my guy, you run the whole company, you could order the entire locker room to beat the tar out of The Bucks and Jack Perry, you could have called the police on them when they supposedly dropped you on your head. But the most you can do is sit in gorilla position, and everyone knows you're there, and do nothing except hand Darby a flame thrower? This is just so dumb.

the match is called anarchy in the arena. by definition of the word anarchy, the mach is supposed to be in a state of disorder. I'm not upset with it living up to its booking. its a chaotic mess and by the end of it most people who saw it enjoyed it as did I. it doesn't take logic to enjoy a match that had guys getting set on fire or kicked in the face with exploding shoes. its good old fashioned ignorant pro "wrastlin" fun

i hate these matches cause they're not elimination which is really dumb for suspension of disbelief, cause what's stopping one guy from beating another with a chair for 5 minutes and pinning him while everyone else is off fighting in the crowd or in the back stage???

You can say that for every triple threat or fatal 4 way match. Wrestling rarely has logic, AEW is just the worst at it despite having a billionaire owner and the talent to pull it off.

@@Triple-Four i agree but 3ways and 4ways rarely have people fighting out in the crowd and arena
