It's wild how these kid a amnesiac era songs are being performed more faithfully to the records than when I've seen RH do them...they really make more sense as these glitchy electronic soundscapes with Thom just vibing out. Love it

1:14 Thom Yorke discovering a new move. You can see him slow down, think about it, then commit to freezing

i know, I've seen them billions of times, either live or in video, and I've never seen that, it's awesome, and fits the mood of the song so much. It kinda reminds me of the freezeframe at the end of one of those brilliant episodes of true detective season 1, the episode with the 'monster at the end of the dream'..

Can someone explain to me, how is the backing track changing? Is Sam Pettes Davies doing live sequencing, or is the track just pre-recorded?
@invisiblehomesband
@invisiblehomesband 26 күн бұрын
No pre-recorded in an audio sense. He's using a MIDI and control voltage sequenced arrangements running the synths. Hence, he can knob twiddle like he does when he cuts the decay on the notes in the Prophet synth in the intro.

not even close. This is hardly a reinvention, it's just with drum machines and more electronics instead of the band. It's still cool.

They are polite and enjoy the sound and performance unlike it's in some other parts of the world. It's kind of cultural thing since this is more like intimate show even though it's in a large hall. I don't like hacklers and people shouting shit next to me in the middle of Exit music like "I love you Thom" and other BS. Tickets are pricey to spend the money on drunk assholes trying to sing-along with Thom. This is not punk show, it's an artistic performance that requires audience to be respectful towards the artists.

My kinda crow’s. I don’t wanna hear some drunk idiot that chat through the whole show or worse still decide he can sing as Thom does and do that really loudly throughout. These videos show the perfect crowd - hollering after songs and in appropriate bits within the songs but not ruining throughout. Ideal
