Kid Buu: From Top Tier To Bottom Tier (with

I honestly love kid buu right now, him being low tier just blows my mind. His changes didn’t touch on most of these issues mentioned, but his damage with new candy beam and j.2S is actually kinda nice and isn’t height specific. I think with an optimal starter he does like 6.5k before assists, and he gets health from it each time, plus the corner carry from it is really good. Dude can go corner to corner, just needs an assist/lvl 3 for hkd. His new lvl 1 projectiles give him extra damage when dhc’ing into multi hit supers like beams, which is nice especially after a candy beam combo. So his reward is not that bad anymore. I still wish he had a clean hkd but the damage and meter is nice. Also doing DR > candy beam > mystic arm at max hitstun is really satisfying, if not very optimal.

i never really thought about it, but this makes sense. this title really isnt clickbait. he really has been powercrept in every area. i was a pink square with a 70% win rate when i was playing kid buu, adult gohan, ssj goku (gt goku when he came out and before he got nerfed, majin 21 for a bit before i decided she doesnt make sense to me) from launch up til season 3.5. i came back a couple of weeks ago and got destroyed by a bunch of players and went down to a yellow square. i know part of it is that i got worse, and that the other players as a whole have gotten a lot better, but not having the top tier privilege with kid buu anymore definitely wasnt helping at all. his neutral being considered bad now and him being a 3 touch character without doing significant meter dumping were the biggest things i noticed that were making things very difficult. i thought the neutral thing was just me being bad since last i knew he was considered one of the good neutral characters. glad to know it wasnt completely me and a small part of the blame can go on kid buu not being able to carry me anymore like he used to be able to.

All they need to do to make kid buu really good again is this. Do you agree? Make his level 3 able to happy birthday again and buff its frame advantage by 10f Let him do a jump light after a jump medium on crouching opponents again Buff the range on his 2h and 2l Buff/lower the whiff recovery on 5m by 11f Buff/lower the whiff recovery on jm by 14f Buff/lower the whiff recovery on 1m, 2m and 3m by 10f, and buff the tracking on them Make his 5L -3 on block Make his 2m -5 on block Make his 2l 0 on block Buff/reduce the whiff recovery on candy beam by 25f, while also giving it an active hitbox on the entire beam Buff the hitbox on all of his anti air command grabs so they’re more consistent and lower the whiff recovery on them by 10f Make his new 2s let him keep his momentum and lower the recovery on it by 4f Lower the recovery on his 5s by 3f and buff its startup speed by 5f Buff the range on ex mystic ball and remove the ability to guard cancel it (you can still reflect it) Buff the startup speed on gumball by 6f Buff the startup speed on his A assist to 40f (57f is atrocious) and remove the ability to guard cancel it Buff the blockstun on his B assist to 35f and make it non 2h able. Buff the blockstun on his C assist by 3f so it’s 33f and matches other beam c assists.

Nah its the community constantly crying for no reason, but that aside look at the trend: GT everywhere in s2 nerfed into ground Gogeta being trash on launch, buffed like crazy later on Zamasu trash on launch, buffed to hell Idk if it’s Bandai/ArcSys but it’s so weird how they decide which characters should be temporarily good and bad, but damn, it’s funny because even Guilty Gear had the same thing
