Remember him also mixing this with " Make the music with your mouth Biz" and even " Hold on" by Envouge. This song probably has more blends than any other song because of the cadence in Stephanie's lyrics and DJ's used to love to mix this.Stephanie's strong vocals didn't hurt either!

Ive been trying to find that one too!!! I dont know if its the same one, but I used to have a tape (similar to what you were talking about) with a version of this remix that had a more upbeat backbeat than this one, with "Something In The Way" (steph mills) - and the vocals/pianos from "Everybody Loves the Sunshine" (roy ayers) blended so amazing. ("My life-my-life-my-life") I had thought it was a very hard to find Marley Marl remix. (Only available on the Stephanie Mills single b-side.) Unsure

There was a nicer remix one DJ did on a mixtape that had an upbeat background to it...shit was hot as hell! I used to have it on a cassette, but I can't remember the DJ or which mixtape it was on. The beat was faster than this one though. It was mixed with the same two songs "Something In the Way..." and "I've Never Knew Love Like This Before"..

The samples used in this mix are: The Honey Drippers - "Impeach the President" (1973) (Drums) The Headhunters feat. The Pointer Sisters - "God Made Me Funky" (1975) (Drums) Syl Johnson - "Different Strokes" (1967) (vocals) Biz Markie feat. T.J. Swan - "Make the Music With Your Mouth, Biz" (1986) (Snare) There's one that baffles me with this tune: What's the sample at 4:56, 5:01, and 5:06? Can someone help?
