As others said, Mr. Rager is Cudi's alter ego. He's said that its a personification of his destructive tendencies caused by his mental illness (like drug abuse). This song means a lot to me cuz it was the first song i had heard where like, the feeling of helplessness, Like Mr. Rager "taking over" so to speak, where you almost are a passenger to your bad habits. And you can really feel the pain and sorrow that it makes him feel. "when will the fantasy end/heaven begin" is both life as a dream/suicide and about the temporary help of intoxication, where heaven is actual healing, instead of drug abuse to cope.

ngl, your reaction deadass just gave me the full idea of what cudi was talking about. what i take from this is that when he said " Im off on a adventure" hes talking about the life of an artist like fame and glory. then when he says "im on my way to heaven" its him not being able to take the high life anymore and is basically contemplating suicide. and the persona thats saying "Mr. Rager..." is basically the fans that feel as if they are alive because of him. tbh thought of this as the meaning since all the stuff with kurt cobain and how his fans were committing suicide just to be "re-joined" with him.

This song is from Man On The Moon 2: The Legend of Mr.Rager. Mr. Rager is cudi's alter ego, it represents cudi when he's intoxicated. Hearing the first album and then this album would give you a bit more context, love your reaction.

The first few times I heard the song I never actually made it to the first time the chorus hits, so I never understood people’s connection to the song. Recently I took the time to full song and when I first heard that chorus I got really emotional about it. Thankfully I’ve never reached that dark a place in my life but I’ve thought about friends who have and about Kudi himself who I looked up to and saw as a great human being and it really hit deep for me.
