Considering the principal was stalking his own students and placing a tracking device on their vehicle without permission, it's safe to say the kids weren't the bad guys. The teens were just that, being sneaky teens, it was harmless. The principal was invading their privacy and breaking the law. He didn't deserve to get away with that.
