This kid is really cute! I think it's wonderful that he got up in front of a whole church and was able to recite John 3:16. I don't think a 5 year old is capable of preaching beyond that. It's probably not wise to let a 5 year old preach. If preaching is just getting up, reading the bible and saying whatever comes into your head, then fair enough anyone can preach! But in order to bring God's word to people's hearts, from a changed heart, by the power of the Spirit, it takes more work, thought, prayer and wisdom than a 5 year old has.

I do see your point and agree that the exploitation of children for profit is disgusting. But the boys father did address this before the boy spoke. He specifically said He did not want this to be just a "Cute moment" but beleived His son is truely anointed by the Holy Spirit and that His passion is genuine.
