Lane 4 flipped FYI. The slipped occurred under the water on the start with his feet so it’s hard to see. He comes up a body length behind everyone else on the start

I participated in a 400m race when i was 9 and it was super crowded at the start (around 100 kids). Because of this i tumbled at the start and some kids ran on me. NY Boys State Championships 2009, it's the age of the supersuits. Tom Luchsinger tries to zip up his full body suit for the 200 yard Free and the entire back of the suit tears open. He dives in and goes 1:37 and breaks the NY state record. Such a savage swim that I remember.

This was a completely preventable incident. This pool has backstroke wedges which are basically sandpaper for your feet so you do not slip. Texas UIL (the governing body of 5a and 6a athletics) does not let swimmers use them which is very stupid. I have slipped just like that at this pool. UIL please let us use them!
