I remember back in 2004 or 2005, somewhere around those years, it was the middle of winter and we had a bad ice storm that lasted......I think something like 2 days and we were without power for a week or more. We didn't have a generator but we were lucky enough to have a propane fire place to keep warm. If we didn't have that, we probably would have had to go to a motel room so we didn't freeze to death. We took a drive around town after the ice stopped and it looked like we were in a scene from that movie "the day after tomarrow".

The panels on the top of the lights on the fence are solar panels. It's not electric it's solar energy being stored in the panels and that energy is then given off as light during light.
