I checked for news on hurricane Irma and the most recent update says that Irma should be barely avoiding the Savannah and Charleston area. For your first hurricane, remember to chain your legs to the floor so you won't fly around anywhere. Also, get away from any trees, buildings, animals, etc. Basically be in a wide open area so you only worry about flying away, which the chains will prevent. It works wonders, we survived Katrina that way.
