If anything, I believe that was the first big instance of rock and rap merging, then not long after was Anthrax and Public Enemy teamed up, then Ice-T formed Body Count, and of course, the "Judgement Night" movie soundtrack, which all the tracks were rappers like Ice-T, (I'm blanking here....), teamed up with rockers like Pearl Jam, Slayer, and I wanna say Anthrax, but to be honest, it's been a long while since I've listened to hit, so I can't remember. POINT IS, rap and metal fusions have been around long before this song, contrary to what others besides what you and I think..

I loved the excitement I felt back when I was a kid and a TV show i.e. The Simpsons would do a crossover with another TV show. That's the exact excitement and happiness and feel when two different genres, two different worlds almost, intertwine together so perfectly like in this song.
