So that means, at that time, US and British already know about the connection between that spanish leader and Hitler, eventhought the spanish people at that time didnt even know about that. Is it just luck some fisherman found that dead body in the sea? Or it was also planned? Since they didnt heard about a plane coming near, or maybe a boat or ship. 😮 If I know my country is neutral from war, I would be suspicious about the dead military near my place. But this "Jose" guy are so determined to bring that body to the shore. You know what I mean? 😗

Soldiers were still much more common at the time, due to the wars going on in so many places. Also, military people exist in almost all countries at all times, even if they're not involved in any overseas conflicts at the time :P I would've brought the body back as well. If nothing else, then out of respect for the diseased, so their family could be notified and eitherway, so they could have a proper burial.

The body was found on the route a plane would take between Britain and Gibraltar, a very important British base on the Southern tip of Spain. British Intelligence was very aware that Gibraltar was teeming with Spanish and Nazi spies, and knew who most of them were. You would be surprised how much false information was fed to the Nazis by the intelligence services. All the German spies in Britain had been caught and given the choice of being shot as a spy or working for British Intelligence. One guy was making obscene amounts of money from the Nazis as paymaster for a ring of twenty non-existent agents.

Remember how he explained that he had the briefcase and on the briefcase is the code for it. Who will fall for that? Some body in the ocean near Spain? Ocean currents? How will that british soldier end up near Spain? This was stupid plan that just ended working out. I haven't heard of that and thankfully because its the stupidest thing I've heard about WW2. I just checked it and Mincemeat was almost worthless because Hitler didn't want german soldier to die next to italian ones and he also didn't have much trust in them. So this Mincemeat is some stupid fact that I will forget in about 5 minutes.

Have you ever heard of Gibraltar, the large British base on the Southern tip of Spain? Where the body was found is on the route a plane would take from Britain to Gibraltar, so it's not a stupid plan at all as it striped Sicily of most of the German defenders, the fact that German and Italian troops distrusted each other in Hitlers mind makes no difference whatsoever.
