Lt Kidd called for a level 1 hazmat and EMS plan 1 to their location as they evacuated the dialysis center and waited for engine 51 and squad 3 for backup but two to three more ambulances arrived to tend to the other victims while ambulance 61 tended to the one victim who collapsed during the dialysis procedure

It's truly amazing how great of A Team that Severide+ Cruz are as long as they can get along and agree+ get on the same page. But I'm not completely sure that Cruz+ Severide have worked out all their problems yet guess we will have to wait+ see but I hope Kelly+ Cruz will get back to being as good of friends as they used to be at some point.😊 Because when all 4 Squad 3 members are on the same page and agree. They truly are an awesome team and have been since the beginning of the series.

1:29 Lt Kidd: Truck 81 to Main, we need a Level 1 hazmat and EMS plan 1 to our location immediately. Dispatcher: Copy that, truck 81. Both units are en route. By doing this, Lt Kidd ordered an all-out evacuation of the place as firefighters Randall 'Mouch' McHolland and Sam Carver grabbed the wheelchairs to help carry the older victims out until the hazmat guys arrived to handle it but Squad 3 got there before the hazmat crew arrived as Lt Chris Herrmann and the engine 51 crew were waiting outside with the decon line waiting to decontaminate the Squad 3 boys

I highly doubt that a Level 1 hazmat plus an EMS plan 1 is just "both units" - that's at least ten to fifteen units total, and that's not even counting the potential transporting needs.

I gotta admit, yes things could've gone very wrong if the barrel got dropped, but the idea that to stop it you just flip the barrel over so whatever's reacting can't come out is both very simple and, if it works, effective (and all things considered, very clever quick thinking)

I think the bleach was on the towels in the trash can. If the barrel contained ammonia then that would create chloramine gas which can cause people to pass out if inhaled in large quantities. From what I read it's very fast acting.

Actually, the patients and nurses have to know how to disconnect themselves in an emergency. Clamp lines, pull needles, cover sites, all that has to be taught to the nurses when they start the job and the patients. Each patient has a clamp they can use to clamp themselves off so they can disconnect in a hurry. Maybe not as fast as on tv, but yes, in an emergency, they don’t have to tow the machine out the door.
