There is a bit more to the story about the young black girl who was sentenced to 20 years for the carjacking.(her mother got hysterical in the back of the court). Her public defender misled her and her family. They thought a plea deal had been made an she would only get a small sentence ( maybe a year ) and community service. So their shock was truly genuine.

Everyone and their momma knows nobody gets 1 year for shooting someone especially when you set them up to be robbed and killed they just wanted to make excuses tbh

That last one.. I do not care if she screamed at the top of her lungs or had to be carried out on a stretcher. They murdered a 3 yr old! Those two get every bit of punishment they have coming to them.

The chick who killed her kids then stuck them in the fridge is gonna feel real fucking stupid when her two youngest children grow up and realize that they falsely accused their eldest siblings of touching them which led them to getting killed. Im always on the side of believing the victims but there was NO evidence of sexual abuse by the elder children and the psychologists that spoke to them also spoke to them made it clear it likely didnt happen or was misconstrued by their mother. It’s horrible.

I think in the case of Number 8 they reacted so strongly from what I heard the DA promised something like 5-10 for a guilty plea and were wacked with something a lot heavier by the judge who didn't get that memo.

its not getting the memo. A judge can overturn a deal with the DA if the judge deems the criminal is onderevering of a deal for the crime or think the deal is unfit

Even 15 years is a pretty long time when you’re a teenager. Like yeah, you still have years of your life ahead of you, but that’s a major part of your life you spent in prison. And a lot can happen in prison in that timeframe.

Margaret pole was executed but she was totally innocent and some of those pics were of margaret beaufort not margaret pole. Seems like the lady who's speaking just threw margaret pole in there because she needed a space filler.

I’m a convicted felon. But… I never cried until I got put on probation. Tbh these long jail sentences don’t teach u nothing. My real punishment was probation. Jail was a big ole highschool lol. But I don’t understand the criminals that fall out in court. I wrote a letter to my judge and I took it like a G in court. I did my crime and I was ready for the time.
