Fun fact: when I was in Kindergarten we had the simplex true alerts in all the classrooms and I think in the hallways and I HATED when we had a fire drill and we were in the classroom because of how loud it was

That's kind of why I planning on getting a 4005 or 4006 so I don't need to unplug the panel when I have a Simplex device up and so I don't need to search EBay for monitor modules

If anyone wants to use the a simplex, or any other device that require DC instead of FWR but only have an FWR panel buy an altronix al600lgk board (or similar). That board needs 24vdc in and a nac code. You wire it up with 24vdc from an auxiliary power terminal, and wire nac 1 and 2 to the inputs. The board also has the ability to double your nacs so if you have 2 going into the board you will have 4 going out. The nacs going out of the board have VDC instead of FWR because the panel is powered with 24vdc. I have an Edwards panel and it allows me to use a simplex notification appliance.

You could've broken that Simplex Truealert because your panel is outputting FWR (Full Wave Recifited Current). FWR is not good for Simplex Truealerts

The crickety noises in between the beeps are because this panel does not cut the power but it drops the power to a very low voltage and then brings it back up again for the next beep.

We have that fire alarm is every classroom and hallway (except in the high school building, which only has them in the hallway) and i absolutely hated fire drills until i got into high school There's also a different kind of alarm outside, just above the door. I don't know what kind it is, but it's just really loud

You can solve the Raspyness by unplugging the panel and running it on 24 Vdc
