I recently bought a Kiddy Isofix 2 base and Evo Luna I-Size car seat. I have had it inspected by both John Lewis and Mothercare and both have said it is fitted correctly but not safe as the base does not grip correctly to the isofix connectors and moves excessively. This leads the whole seat to move excessively to the point whereby when cornering in the car the seat moves and my wife has to sit next to the seat to hold it in place. It is the same in both my car, a 2017 Discovery 5 and my wife's 2016 Range Rover Evoque. Kiddy have confirmed that it should be compatible and the Land Rover manual confirms both isofix and isize compatibility. However the Kiddy online car compatibility checker only goes up to 2013 cars. Upon further investigation it transpired that any car made after 2013 is compatible but their website does not explain this. Also it is worth noting that even in the Discovery, a huge 7 seater car the seat does not fit behind the driver seat and positioned behind the front passenger means the front passenger seat is no longer accessible due to the size of the car seat when in lie flat.
I have uploaded 3 videos that show the base moving, the movement on the seat and the space taken up by the seat.
Obviously we are returning the system but I wanted to share to ensure no one else makes the same mistake and buys the Kiddy system which is clearly unsafe. We have also tested a Maxi Cosi and Cybex seat and base and neither have the same issue.
