Drove by the house she was kept in hundreds of times as a kid. Never would've thought I was driving by a girl who had been going through all of this.

I’m sure it’s more confusing than that. As I’m sure she doesn’t feel unfortunate to have kids she loves. It’s gotta be very conflicting to love your kids but hate how you got them.

I grew up in South Lake Tahoe and that is where this happened so i remember seeing her pictures in the streets everywhere and in school they brought cars and taught us how to hot wire a car or how to use different things in a car to escape. They like put us in the back of car trunks and stuff to teach us how to fight back

What a pity this girl! My mom also kidnapped . Rich drug dealer fell in love with our mother and he stole her , forcibly took her to wife, killing our father, ruined our lives forever. It was in Tajikistan , I was 6 years old and my brother 3 year. Our family went from there. My mother tried to escape , but she was caught and returned to new husband. Later we learned, that my mother had died in childbirth fourth child from kidnapper bastard. But we still hope to find my mother, we think that the rumors of her death, specifically distributed thief, so we were not looking for our unfortunate mother. God grant that all the missing were found!

I remember reading Jaycee's Story when I was 11 years old and thinking she was my age when all of these tragic things happened to her. It open my mind of how cruel people could be in the world and how this world all together really needs to change. It also makes me open my mind that things like this could be happening right under out noses. We really have to protect and look out for eachother better

Because he was a registered sex offender and was on parol after being in jail for 15 years, parol officers searched his house and property 60 times while she was held captive. 60 times. She even spoke with one of them, and still, they never did a single thing.

Not only was she kidnapped, but so was her childhood. She went from being 11 years old to a grown adult of 29 years old living in a box not getting to experience anything that others have and her parents raising her and creating memories with her as she would grow was stolen from her parents. This is a terrible case. It is good that she was found alive and no longer being held captive by her kidnappers.

It's sad that the US doesn't do enough to protect children from abduction. My babysitter's youngest daughter was abducted in broad daylight walking home from the Los Angeles County Recreation Center in Baldwin Park, CA. She was seven years old. My babysitter still doesn't know what happened to her daughter.

My babysitter still cries herself to sleep, like any mother would if her daughter was abducted, not knowing if she was murdered or alive. Kidnappers and registered sex offenders should get life in prison without the possibility of parole. It's pathetic that the people who kidnap our children get away with this too often.

Huh?! Being kept captive outside in a box by a sex offender (which makes you think) is an ideal situation compared to living safely with your family in a home? "Good thing she got kidnapped." Seriously?! Do you honestly think any decent parent would feel happy that their child got kidnapped for their own selfish benefits? "Didn't have to support financially." & "Have to deal with teenage angst phase." What a twisted comment...

I am 33, and when I was about six or so this man pulled up in an old car. The year would have been 1985. Anyways he asked me to come over to the car; he had a map and claimed he was lost. He had the map on his front passenger seat, while I was outside the car. I could not see the map and the man kept on moving it so I was forced to get closer to the car. Then I backed away sensing something was odd, I called out for my dad to help this man find his way. The man yelled at me and tore off.

Thats must have been such a terrifying experience and made you realize the world was never safe. My friend almost became a victim of a kidnapping, TWICE. she was fleeing as suspicious car was following her until a good samaritan came to the rescue and asked what was wrong. I also had an instance where a car irratically changed course just to get a creepy good look at us jogging down the street. I took us both home right away as the car turned the corner. I was so terrified and paranoid!

Our god is no psycho, he is a healer, a lover, and a forgiver. He is humble, and caring. If you ask for forgiveness and mean it he will forgive you. He does not judge us, he loves us.
