I am so loving this HUGE project you're taking on!. I am kind of grateful that I am watching this now as my son is still only 2 years old lol and i've probably on ly got one album filled for him. There's so many great tips you are giving and i cant wait to see your progress! xox

Very interesting. I am thinking of doing albums for my niece and nephew from scratch, they are 7 and 5! The first bite of the eleohant for me will be to get some of the photos gathered for one section, maybe one birth? Thanks for the nudge to get thinking. Good luck with your albumns. X

Caroline, that is awesome! Yes, I agree one section at a time is good, we have sort of thought of it in terms of baby album(s), 2-5 years, 6-12 maybe, and then 12-18. We were thinking four-five albums for each kiddo, with 60 page protectors but haven't ironed out which layouts or photos to include. Good luck with yours too! xoxox

Thx for sharing I definitely haven't dived into any decisions with this yet lol. I have an adopted 12 year old son and I've had him since he was 9 but barely started scrapbooking because the whole life changing process was too much to sit and scrapbook at the time. I have some younger photos of my son that I was given when he was adopted but I can't scrapbook them at this time because seeing them causes triggered emotions. For now they are scanned into the computer files so there are digital copies when he's ready. So I am just focusing on now and seeing what I can get done 😊 love your hair in the video!

Thank you so much for the compliment! I hear you on the hard photos. Many of ours have been packed away as well, for some of the same reasons so I can absolutely relate. When you are ready you will know, and then I recommend going through the first time just to take it all in and process, then put them back away. Then bring them back out and do what you want to do. I will be talking a little about that on my blog throughout this process, if you follow me there. It can be really over whelming - good for you for doing whatever brings joy! Thank you for sharing, it sounds like we have similar stories with our beautifully adopted children who needed us in special ways. XOXOXOXO

I have an idea that just popped in my head about distributing the layouts - have you thought about asking them to choose? As you said, maybe one event is so stuck in one kid's head that it needs to go in their album?

Yes, I think that is a great option! Nick always shrugs his shoulders when I ask his opinion about his albums, so he really is a little more ambivalent at this age (he is 12!). I definitely like your idea of allowing them their voice, and I am so glad they have those choices they can make!!! :-D
