Yesterday was the first stage of the Championship of Ukraine on quad-cross, and Tima's participation was not planned, due to the lack of a powerful and fast quad for an equivalent fight for the result. But a couple of days before the race, the father of one of the quads, Oleg Derzhavetsky from Sumy, called and said that he could give Timur a quad for the race, on which there was a chance to compete with the seasoned) After discussing this issue with Tima, we decided that we could try. Artyom Semishkur's second family agreed without question to bring him to Kyiv for the race, for which we are also HUGE thanks to them! To say that the race was difficult is an understatement. In total there were 5 races for 15 minutes, it is physically very difficult for children. The track is one continuous frozen track from cars, with water, ice, crushed in places and hidden under snow, from 3 to 30 cm deep. Russian roulette for those who drive fast, and driving skills will not help here, unfortunately, only luck, drivers will understand) The weather was changing before our eyes, snow, sun, rain. By the second half for underfoot and on the track the top layer of the swamp. After 4 races, Tima was a good leader, changing positions every race with the multiple champion of Ukraine Ilya. It was necessary at a calm pace just to finish the last race. Starting first it is always difficult to keep and understand the pace, the second is definitely more comfortable to ride. But the insidious and unpredictable track played a cruel joke, at maximum speed it carried into a rut where there was a deep puddle, the quadric spun, a coup, a strong fall, since Timur was not injured, which cannot be said about the technique. Somehow finished. As a result, 2nd place. All the kids did great, the track was very difficult, I would say - dangerous and treacherous. What I saw today, I cannot call children's sports. Speeds are over the top for such UNPREPARED and wound children's equipment. There was no mention of any security at all, unfortunately. The kids were awarded, cool cups were presented! As they say, everything is fine, but the sediment remained. Until we meet again friends, well, we went to look for spare parts 😊
