We have ranch panels on hand for this. We just zip tie them together to make a pen and throw in some straw and call it good. Saved many a baby last year with that make shift pen. Fun to see the new babies!

Some free used pallets kept on hand would be a quick way to make a little stall inside the shop if/when necessary along with some used flattened boxes to put down in the bottom to keep the floor clean.

My heart sank when I saw that baby go flying !! I was like NO ... love seeing the new babies . Sometimes you have to give them a little help ! Better to take them in for a bit as to loose a baby and maybe momma too since she was shivering also ! Great job Daniel . And seeing the little ones out on the rocks playing ., we always said they were playing King Of The Hill ! Prayers for all and anticipating many more babies !! DeJay should have been named Ellie Mae ... for her love of animals !! ❤️. DeJay, Earl and Baby Goat all together was priceless !

When that freak cold weather moves in . . . Thankfully, I had no kids due to drop, but I had some that were already on the ground. They were old enough I wasn't terribly worried about them, but since they were calling for single digits at night I ran an extension cord from my house to the goat barn and hung it from the rafter right in the middle. They had plenty of hay, and I even let the boys have a "sleep over" with the girls so they could share body heat. With the snow we got, they weren't even interested in coming out of their barn until today when it warmed up and everything started melting.

Such cute and sweet babies. Earl is a sweetie, he's going to make a good dog. Love Bear, we had a dog that looked just like him and he was such a good boy, but our neighbors for some reason hated him , so one night they trespassed on our property and poisoned him. It was terrible. He did pass away. He never bothered anything or anybody, he was a sweet boy. The bab g goats are so dog gone cute. I think the world of y'all. Your great, kind and good people. I think it is wise to bring your children up to hunt, fish and learn to raise their own food. It's very smart. God love y'all.

Look online for designs for a warming barrel. Basically just a heat lamp securely hung inside of a barrel with a small door for the baby goats to use to get inside the barrel to get warm. The heat lamp gets hung high out of reach of the babies and can't be knocked down by the moms and the moms can lay beside the barrel and get a little warmer without keeping the babies away from the heat

Christmas Eve, 1 kid was born, a week later, it was -11°, I have an igloo doghouse and an A-frame INSIDE the breeding barn...Heavenly got in the igloo and mom was great!! She blocked any wind from getting to her baby

My daughter makes kid brooder out of 55 gallon drums. Cut a hole in the side one one end. Turn it upside down and secure a heat lamp inside the other end. They work really well. It's like a steel igloo.
