Sawadee khap my farangutans & puan puan khun Thai! This video reviews two Thai candy/craft projects in the form of JaJa Home and Dolly House products. Both were purchased at the Big C supermarket and cost 39 THB. I find this odd as one is made of card and the other of more robust plastic. I would expect the Dolly House, that's the plastic one, to be more expensive.
So the candy is okay. It's basically a small packet of coloured sugar. We're not here for the candy in this case. We're here for the projects. The JaJa Home traditional Thai house was quite a tricky project. With it being pop out cardboard you find that the pieces bend or some of the backing rips off, but on the whole, not too bad. I found it difficult with my adult fingers putting the tabs in the appropriate places and a lack of instructions did not help. The Na'ster had to finish the piece for me with her more petite digits. The Dolly House was a lot easier to construct and I didn't get to frustrated. Again, there was a lack of instruction when it came to adding the stickers, but the construction instructions (try saying that three times after a few Richard Gere's) were clear and helpful, so this would be a better project for a younger child.
If you would like to see the other Dolly Houses, let me know in the comments and I'll make videos on them too. I probably won't go back to the JaJa Home range as life's too short. They take a while to put together and my hands are not fit for purpose with that project.
