Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like the epic monster drummer from the 46 and 2 video is playing kettle drums in the backup percussion section, and the little kid that played the sticks is now killing it on the lead drum kit. That shows awesome improvement from the little guy and the older guy being a gracious mentor. This school is SUCH a great example of what education should look like!
@AzuuleFiredragon1017 жыл бұрын
@rmcaniel423 ONE THING I HAVE NOTICED about these videos, in every video, there is a different "STUDENT" on a different instrument for each song, RARELY do you see the kids playing the same instrument, which in turn leads me to believe, they are being taught DIVERSITY thru music, teaching them to EXPAND their talent to different areas of music, not just "you play "this", and you play "This", and that's all you're gonna learn"....... MAD PROPS TO O'KEEFE MUSIC FOUNDATION for allowing these talented, young people to showcase their talent like this.... BRAVO!!!! and to the Young Stars???? KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!! I am 61 years old. When I was in high school, there was a program I signed up for that was a magnet music program for all of the high schools in my city. We had a similar experience many, many years ago. The influence that had on me caused me to become a closet musician while I pursued my day job to make a living. The beauty of musical talent is that you can share it or keep it to yourself, just don't stop the music. My day job has funded my passion for music for many, many years. I am nearing retirement and now have more than 45 instruments in my collection, mostly stringed but I have a couple of keyboards, 6 or 7 amps, 40 or so guitars, acoustics, electrics, basses, mandolins, banjos, violins, ukuleles. It all started with my mother making me take piano lessons as a youth for 6 or 7 years. I hated it at the time but I went on to play the trumpet, first clarinet, and then got in to guitars. The first songs I learned were Stairway to Heaven and In Memory of Elizabeth Reed listening to am radio because they played them over and over again. I memorized those two songs and played them by ear. I am so looking forward to my retirement to dust the instruments off and play until I drop dead.

Man, all I can say is wow, little dude on the drums your going to be a hit one day, you dropped the stick but didn't panic, you picked it right back up and got right back to it. That is a sure sign of a pro!

This just proves that a great song is a great song. Change it up, strip it down or make it your own and it'll continue to be so. It doesn't hurt being talented and compassionate musicians like these kids as well. GREAT guitar solo!

This...is education. Having kids of all ages make a cover of awesome songs. Art, music, computer, sports....every kid is capable in doing something if they put their mind to it and have an awesome educator to teach them.

Today is February 22, 2023. I was on the way home from the supermarket listening to Hair Nation on SiriusXM and to my surprise Ozzy's No More Tears came on. Let me tell you, these young kids could have replaced Ozzy's band. In fact, I can barely tell the difference. All this band needs is Ozzy!!!!

What a magic moment for these kidlets, and their families, to witness a true organic talent. God let's hope these brave muses can keep their organic spirits away from ego, and ego's dark path. Did I say too much?

The kid who played drums in 46 and 2 is playing the kettle drums in this one I reckon.

You reckon correctly, that kid is a beast. The real story is the little kid banging two sticks together in 46 and 2 is on the big kit now.
