Hi there! "Whose pencil is this/ that?" are both correct. As for your second question, the correct way is to say "Whose pencils are these/ Whose pencils are those?. Keep up studying! :)

Hi there! It works in the same way. For example, you can say :"They are Veronica's books" or "They are her books". :)

He pronounces like that because he´s not a native English speaker, it´s just his pronunciation. A native speaker would say /hiz/ but it´s not a big problem.
