I am with you on the less noisy annoying toys being played with more. I have been slowly transitioning my sons playroom into all open ended play toys/melisssa and doug toys/more puzzles and it has been a serious gamechanger.

Yes the scooter! Just ordered for my daughter her bday is this month and shes getting that, and she has the same frog trampoline, she loves jumping very high on it and she likes to sit on it reading books and playing with toys or have her barbies jump with her.

I second the mini trampoline --one of the best gifts to keep kids active during inside time and also, if you ever wanted some ideas I love all things from Fat Brain Toys and Mindware (this company tends to run to older kids) but just wanted you to know about them if you did not. Merry Christmas!

Good ideas. I will get toys for my kids second hand i dont think a will by new toys. I recommend to buy used toys kids dont care they are happy to play with a toy that they never seen before

Great ideas... one company my so; loves is Play Mobile... he’s collected all of the different knight sets, pirates, Egyptians, etc... he played with them every day... they are high quality and never break...

@@TresChicMama We don't buy piles of things that compete with the XMas tree or holiday table in volume. We get modest amounts of things and buy when we find something perfect, if it's April or July and put it away until sometime in Advent when we will wrap and begin the preparations for Christmas. We don't shop per se, as much as stumble upon good things. But we stash them and don't get them out until Advent to wrap or send. It is a religious holiday for us and there are so many things not to miss about autumn and the Thanksgiving season. But we celebrate the entire 12 days of Christmas. That is the length of the ancient, liturgical holiday and it is followed by Epiphany when the 3 kings arrived, so lots of celebrating. There are Advent carols, Christmas carols, and Epiphany carols and we sing those in the appropriate liturgical season, so there's always a song.
