As an American, I want to say I love Japan and the different forms of art they create! Final Fantasy 6 is one of my favorite games of all time - the composition of the music is incredible and the story is unmatched

I agree that it is easily the best... MAIN numbered game in the series. I'd say Tactics is the best FF game.

I've played every U.S. release and I have always believed 6 (released in the US as FF3) was the best in the series. It's a tall order to have the vast number of characters this game had and still give them compelling and endearing stories that tied together so well. Also, don't sleep on FF9... it was quietly one of the greats.

No. Part 4 was the best. Part 6 was stupid because you could have every character learn the same thing. At least 4 had a good story and the characters were all unique.

@@one7decimal2eight 4 had less of a story and more of a bunch of sentences set to music, and every now and then something happens, and it's apparently supposed to make you feel something. ....Which at the time was pretty revolutionary and we were all really young so we pretended it was just as good as any Hollywood blockbuster or NY Times bestselling book.

The FF6 soundtrack gets overshadowed by Crono Triggers, but it is deeper and has more melodies contained within. Of course they were all part of a golden period of game music for Square. But it was the game that truly "awakened" me to a lot of emotions so for that I'll be forever grateful.

IMO, they're both 10/10 soundtracks, but the FF6 one is the #1 videogame soundtrack ever made.

The problem is that the art for 7 8 and 9 already exists in high resolution, whereas for 6 it doesn't, so to remake 6 would be a gargantuan effort and nearly impossible.

I doubt a triple A game based on FF6 will ever be made. FF7 is a insanely popular game, It will sell and square will profit even if it's turn out to be a pile of garbage. Remaking a game like FF6 (were the world literally gets destroyed) in today standarts would be extremely expensive and an imense financial risk that I doubt Square will ever be willing to take. That being said, I adore this game, there are so many iconic moments that, in today graphics could blow minds and burst ppl to tears. I doubt we will ever get a full scale remake(like 7) of this game ... A FF6 and Xenogears remake are my most delusional dreams.
