It’ll irritate my scalp if I do.

Since my hair will dry up faster if I towel dry it I don’t towel dry one half of my hair and I just pat the side I’m gonna be working with immediately liglty so it’s a little damp to apply my deep conditioner

I apply my conditioner (regular and deep) to damp hair. soaking wet hair will dilute (water down) the conditioner and I don't want that.

Yes I do seal with an oil. And during the 2 weeks I don't moisturize, just oil her scalp. I make sure her hair is properly moisturized before installing her protective style and she sleeps with a satin bonnet to keep the moisture in her hair.
