My father is autistic. He grew up in 1950's. Technology didnt exist back then..He remembers watching black & white TV when he was a kid. His parents, older brother, teachers bullied him a bit for it. The best advice he got from his late parents is to copy his brothers behavior. Right now he is a semi-healthy 77 year old, who achieved many things in his life.

It's all good dude. I have Autism and people picked on me in school all the time. They would call me names, throw my stuff down the stairs in school and call me Retarded. Then they would threaten me with my life if I told anyone about it. I would be picked on by multiple people at a time and they would treat me like I was useless and tell me that I was a waste of time and space. Then one day I just stood up for myself and did something. I believed in myself and made a difference. Then 3 of my bullies were expelled for bullying me. Then the last one was arrested for bringing a weapon to school and threatening me with it. After school, I graduated with straight A's. After that I went to college for culinary arts and business management. 5 years after high school I opened my own restaurant, I bought a car, I bought a nice house and in general my life is good.

Visible disability is far easier. As is having a very specific diagnosis. People think people are more open minded, and many are, but so many people have mild version of mental illness that they assume people with more severe versions or very different symptoms are the same. Always feel sleepy no matter how much sleep you get? Ruled out sleep apnea and almost everything known it gets lumped in with depression, which can be diagnosed for someone who has it for 2 weeks then “gets over it”.

10:54 just bcs your parents raise you as a princess at home, doesn't mean you are one. Every parents love to see their daughter/son become beautiful/handsome just like princess/prince, but you're too obsessed with yourself , for a better saying , you're narcissistic . that's nothing wrong with you being confident , but not toooooo confidence and turn up become narcissistic

I know what it is like to get judged for having a stutter. People don't understand what it is and I felt ashamed that I stuttered.

10:56 calling the glasses boy "4 eyes" isn't really nice but since the boy that is wearing glasses is called "4 eyes" I'm gonna call that girl "wannabe popular" girl
Gordon could have stood up for himself saying “four eyes are better than two” because I wear glasses too and I say that most of the time
