NES/FC 4 LIFE. 🤘🏻 New Ghostbusters 2 is sooo good (and yeah, the UK PAL cart is the only release outside of Japan). The Gameboy version is even better, though. It adds a ton of cool cinematics that really up the ante for following the movie's plot. Also, I always love the inter-stitched commercials you throw into these videos.

My brother and I got our NES along with the Batman game and the VHS movie for Christmas. Ton of nostalgia for that game. That VHS looking Famicom case looks awesome.

When I was a kid I didn't own a NES, I had a Famicom. Before I got the NES adapter that meant getting import Famicom games, and Akumaju Densetsu was my crown jewel. Not only did I get and finish the game before Castlevania 3 was even released, it was the far superior version. There are more differences than just the censorship and the sound chip. In the late 80s Konami USA was into combating game rentals, so the difficulty in CV3 was ramped way up and not in the fair way. Grant the pirate doesn't even throw his knife.

Ah yeah, that's right, I'd completely forgotten about that. They did the same thing to Bayou Billy, that game is so much more forgiving on the Famicom.

My most recent pickup was a CIB copy of Final Fantasy V advance. I splurged a little, but it is one of my all-time favorite games. I don't normally go for CIB games since they are harder to find (and much more expensive) here in the US, especially handheld games. I spent the weekend playing Super Mario Sunshine, trying to 100% complete it. 😎

Mega Man 2 is the T2 of the NES for me, everything a sequel should be and still my favorite for the system. You got 5 of my top 10 in this haul, MPG Heavy Hitter edition!

I LOVE your Darius shirt! (I still love that parodius game that Konami did!) Makes me think of being a kid at Chuck E. Cheese and playing that Simpsons arcade game (do you remember that game?) That was a AMAZING game!

Rockman 3 might be my all time favorite in the series! DuckTales is another GOAT, I still fire it up from time to time on The Disney Afternoon Collection. Akumajo Densetsu was definitely the pinnacle of Castlevania on NES/Famicom, especially the Japanese version with the improved sound chip. definitely the best way to experience the soundtrack!

Ducktales 1 and 2 are comfort games to me, I can blast through them in about 30 minutes like it's second nature, and I still have dun with them

Ah yes the good ol VRC6 chip. The "Beginning" theme (1st stage) on VRC6 is absolute money. It sounds so amazing compared to the NES version.

I've recnetly gottne Dragon Quest 8 JP version in mint CiB. Also got Super Maio Paint for the SNES and a few PS1 games. And Duke Nukem Zero Hour for the N64.

I actually send most of these out as part of my Patreon rewards, it's kind of like a Lute Crate but filled with retro games. Aside from that, I occasionally post things for sale on my Facebook page. I've thought about just opening up a store but I'm stretched pretty thin as it is lol.
