G Gundam is hard to go back to when you have Endless Duel which is THE best 16-bit fighting game EVER!

I don't think I'd call it the best ever, but it's certainly high in the running

Remeber playing that Super Famicom DBZ JRPG english translated on a snes emulator back in the 2000s since I was so desperate for anything dbz

What was your favourite DBZ game from that era? Or the one you spent the most time playing when your Dragon ball fandom was at a peak?

Yeah, Taruruuto-kun is pretty much unknown outside of Japan, with airing of the anime limited in Asia (Hong Kong and Indonesia (Anteve) are the only known countries to have aired Taruruuto-kun outside of Japan) and no official English sub (though thankfully recently there is a fansub that was about 55% complete). In my country (Vietnam), there was an attempt to bring the manga to the country (via a local online book service), but they took it out after a few months. Most people remembered it as a Doraemon clone, though for me it goes way beyond that. For me, this is a better experience than Doraemon, and it even becomes my personal favourite. The games came out of the anime were surprisingly good (despite having 7 in 2 years), with the Mega Drive version being the best (of course, Game Freak had a better job making out this licenses than Tose with their Nintendo Taruruuto-kun counterpart, though those are still good to play).

I do have a couple anime games in my collection, including the SFC version of sailormoon! wild that the MD version doesn't even have co-op. pretty sure the series got way better in later games, but for a first effort it's not bad! didn't know it was arcsys, though. definitely gonna be on the lookout for some of these, though.
@bananonymouslastname56934 ай бұрын
It really stinks that the Mega Drive version of Sailor Moon is only one player. I have both, and the Mega Drive version plays so much better, and even looks better... but beat 'em ups are always more fun co-op!

My first SFC import was Ranma: Super Battle. Far better than the Hard Battle game that was released in English. Macross: Scrambled Valkyrie is a solid shooter with a bit of a Gaiares enemy capture gimmick.

I gave Magical Taruuuto-kin a try, and yeah, does seem like a fun game. I had all of them in my ROM folders, but only one I've played is Sailor Moon. What can I say, it was my fav animated series when I was a little girl. And yeah, SNES had quite a few of them, Sailor Moon R, Sailor Moon S, Sailor Moon SuperS, Sailor Moon Fighting Game, and Sailor Moon Another Story, just to name some, but as for the question, I'm going to go with PC Engine and say the Sailor Moon game they had. Why is that? It is the story. Really does fit as like a nice sequel to the first season of Sailor Moon, and explores the backstory of Queen Beryl and the Generals more so than the anime did, without going into spoilers, you kinda look at them differently in the end. But anyways, did enjoy this, thank you.

I wish someone would do a romhack combining the Mega Drive Sailor Moon game with the SNES version. The Mega Drive had more cutscenes, a few more substages, and all four generals as bosses. The SNES version has much better gameplay, more detailed and colourful graphics, better soundtrack, and a 2 player mode.
