Your first step to preparing for basic training is to watch Full Metal Jacket. If you think you can handle R Lee Ermey screaming at you then you can handle anything. Step 2, get used to using the bathroom and showering in front of other people. Step 3 get used to homesickness, even if you hate your hometown and everyone in it you'll probably at least miss the food, the climate, or your favorite starbucks.

How long is pt in the morning?
@kidthndr27 жыл бұрын
around an hour
@matt94005 жыл бұрын
kidthndr2 that's not so bad..... What kinda pt do yall do
@simbadg135 жыл бұрын
@@matt9400 yeah that is just the scheduled pt. You also get smoked for doing things wrong. Which could last for a couple hours. Also keep in mind you are moving all day from place to place. On top of that you still have chores/training which could be physical. So in reality you're being active all day. Generally it's body weight exercise days and then run days. But it's up to the DS

I have aspergers will I be able to join the army?
@kidthndr27 жыл бұрын
I dont think so, but check with a recruiter.
@arthas6404 жыл бұрын
kind of late to the party on this comment but I have aspergers and I'd suggest taking a "dont ask dont tell" approach to it. There are actually parts of the military where aspergers can be a benefit but the social portions of the military can make things harder for you. The rigid structure of the military and the routine actually work to your benefit. It comes down less to "will the military let me join" and more down to whether you think you can handle it or not. Some militaries like the IDF go out of their way to hire autistic people for job like military intelligence for their abilities to process alot of data and spot slight differences in things like aerial photos and technical fields tend to attract autistic people. There are some militaries that are even looking into hiring people with aspergers/ASD for certain positions like drone pilots as well so there are places for you but it all comes down to whether or not you can handle it. I have Aspergers myself and would have joined the military if not for a back injury right after high school. A good case for Aspergers in the military is Doctor Tony Attwood who's a rather famous doctor that specializes in autism and especially aspergers. He had a patient who was almost turned away from the police for his aspergers but he was even able to convince the police that his aspergers would be a benefit to the job.
