Kielder Forest Motorcycle Ride

So, we got some time off work last minute and to our suprose we had great weather. So, we booked a cottage last minute, and set off to Hadrians wall for a week of riding.
In this Episode 1, we do a short ride to explore Kielder Forest.

There's a raw clarity of the countryside in winter, the shapes of the trees, the grassless verges, all giving a different experience to this winter ride. I like the impromtu 'let's just ride somewhere' of this vid. I chuckled when your dad suddenly chimed in a little ways after the start - how many times have our group lost comms with a rider only to get them back after a switch-off-switch-on routine. Another great vid Jay. Hope to meet up in 2023 :)

When, exactly, was your trip? People tend to upload trips weeks or even months after the actual ride. Reason I ask is the roads don't look like January time, more like March or late Autumn. That road to kielder from Chollerford, through Walk is great, but you cut a lot of the Bellingham to Kielder route out. I understand why....I have gigabytes upon gigabytes of GoPro footage from last year to edit, and deciding what to keep in and what to cut can be difficult. Still, you kept in the Kielder to Slaughtree road where you join the B6357, the route to the right towards Carter Bar is, imo, one of the best motorcycling roads in the UK.

I have the same issue, you see the trip when it was posted but a lot of users forget to let the viewer know the time of year the tour was taken and it can often be up to a year after the trip.
