He made it near impossible for dev to kill the dragon and since kier new about the twist, he could've easily just through his stuff in the portal first and then went thru. It was very unfair and tbh I was very disappointed since this is some of their best commentary and definitely one of dev's most OP loot drops. Wish he chose a different video to do this.

Yes, the end was unfair, but the balance of the video was restored. along with the fact that he didn't do the throw method, and lost his items as well.
